Hugh Freeze addresses why he is retaining Cadillac Williams on Auburn staff
Hugh Freeze held his introductory press conference Tuesday morning, and he kicked off the day by addressing retaining former interim head coach Cadillac Williams.
Williams accepted a role as associate head coach and will also stay on to coach running backs, his previous position with the Tigers. Freeze explained why he decided to keep Williams on the staff in his opening remarks.
Hugh Freeze on hiring Cadillac Williams as associate head coach/running backs coach: “My first priority was I have to have Cadillac by my side to drive the culture of Auburn football.”
Said his last four games was one of the best examples of leadership he’d ever seen.

Williams led the Tigers to a 2-2 record following the firing of Bryan Harsin in October. The Tigers fell to Mississippi State in overtime in his first game and hung around with Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
This news will make a lot of Auburn fans happy
