Traditionally, there has been a lot of LSU/Arkansas/ Ole Miss/Miss St teams. So maybe those will be the three permanent rivals. Also the SEC has been pushing for an aTm - LSU rivalry but with 16 teams, aTm will have uTa and OK plus possibly of Mizzou in case it isn't LSU.
LSU is the biggest threat in the West but Tennessee's revival makes it harder for Bama to win the West because it means one more tough game. But this SEC West threat will be OBE (overcome by Exception) in 2024 when SEC goes to 16 teams and no divisions. Then the two highest rated/best record teams will go to SECCG (this year Tennessee would have probably went or Bama instead of LSU) When divisions are eliminated, rumor is 3 permanent rival games and 6 rotational games. Bama will have Auburn, Tennessee and perhaps LSU as permanent games. Tennessee should have Bama (3rd Saturday), Vandy (in-state SEC rival), and Kentucky (most played rival) but Florida is not out of the question to replace Kentucky.
Additional non-conference series: Ark - OKSt TN - NC KY - IN this used to be a big basketball series Mizzou - Nebraska old B12 rivals Vandy - Northwestern or Duke
We're gonna have to sell a sheet load of mustard bottles at Neyland to cover Coaching Salaries! lol. Paying good money for great coaches...I'll allow it! We have paid far too much for bad coaches so this is a good new strategy and we now have a good to great coaches in almost every University sports program.
Air Force will continue to be the best team in the State though!
True but they are in the PAC12-2 conference. A hand full of 4/5* players means a lot when you are playing Cal, AZ, ASU, Stanford, WashST and out of conference likes of Col St.
I see two major groups here: First are teams that were already a surprise this year: That makes it real hard for Oregon State, Mississippi State, Duke and Kansas to continue to surprise and to better. The second group is the 2022 disappointing teams: Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Wisconsin, Memphis Louisville and Arkansas were all somewhat to moderately disappointing. So that makes it easier for them to win an extra 3 to 5 games in 2023.
Willybob, I don't want to get too much into all this negativity, but I will say as much as Trump was hated by the inner-city folks, he set the record by far for the lowest unemployment rates for all minorities and minority teens in 2018 and 2019. No other president came even close.
This was a vegan article, totally lacking any juicy beef tidbits. lol
78 tackles, safe to assume he's a safety. Great job for a FR! Vols could still use him, but we really need top tier CBs the most!
Surprised Darius Rucker left Hootie to go Country Music but I'm sad about it!
Country was bad when they were trying to be hip hop country. The last 3 years, there have been some great new artists emerge: Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson, Jon Wolfe, Josh Abbott Band, Randall King, Luke Combs, Josh Ward, etc Will they replace Conway, Merle, George Jones, Johnny and Waylon.... man that's a tough job. I think Aaron Watson is on a trajectory to be one of those guys though.
At one time the Jacksonville bar scene consisted of Lynard Skynard, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Alman Brothers and someone else .... maybe Blackfoot. That must have been a great nightclub scene.
Georgia's #1 threat next year: Schedule: Tennessee. By SEC standards, UGA schedule is cupcake city. SECCG: I'd go with LSU over Bama but it's close. Recruiting: Bama CFPs: Bama, Tennessee, or LSU. The other conferences can't stack up no matter how much you overhype uscWest Blowgens, Oregono, Chokelahoma, OhioStankU, or Missedagain! Nashville was the birthplace of Big and Rich, Diamond Rio, Lady Antebellum and a host of others. Not Tom Petty but not bad either. Knoxville should be able to claim Dolly Parton (nearby Pidgeon Forge), far from a band but an incredible singer/songwriter.

I think Jimbo hired Petrino so all the hate would be channeled away from him. Petrino is now the focal point of a dysfunctional offense instead of Jimbo.
Hooker was also a transfer portal gem for the Vols. Schedule is pretty good for winning 9-10 games. We got two games as underdogs with AL and UGA along with two swing games with at FL and aTm. Should be favored in the rest.
Yeah the head didn't snap back which is good. I just don't feel like it was a spinal issue watching that play. If it was, then you would probably need to look at previous plays for a harder hit. It looked like the corner of the shoulder pad hit him right in the chest. I'd be worried about a heart attack or maybe even a major artery rupturing. Prayers for that young man!
Mississippi State did not lead at all for the first 59:56 of the game, and they won by nine points in regulation! Oh, and they covered the 3.5 point spread on the last play of the game! Some gamblers will never forgive them, some will never forget! That’s why I don’t gamble. lol

I expected LSU to win big but not that big. I think Purdue offense relied heavily on Charlie Jones. Did he even play? Not a good resume builder for Purdue interim HC! Congrats Tigahs. I guess #7 was replaceable. SEC has done well in the marquee bowls but not so much for the lower tier games.
It has been a pattern lately where the SEC does poorly in the lower tier bowls but is lights out in the upper tier bowl games. Opt outs exacerbate that immensely!
It really sucks when you're hyped up to win at least 10 games and then the wheels fall off. Been there done that with my Vols. Don't want to do it again!
Yeah, that Clemson true FR QB showed some promise early but the pressure turned up and he clearly wasn't ready. But that kid will be a good one for Clemson after he gets more experience. Maybe Wade will be too? But Leary looks to be the man next year.
Well you get your OC Liam Coen back next year. That should help a bit.
Haven't ever heard: wait til next year? He should have held off 3 seconds and kicked in 2023 lol!
Yeah pretty soon they won't even be able to say RB missed a cut or block. Or even say incomplete pass.
Well, that's got to sting for BBN fans after being hyped as one of the SEC teams with best chance to win 10 games this season. Opt outs don't show up in the record book either.
3-2 KY.25 punts, negative yardage for both teams. Punter and backup punters leave game with cramps.
