Still got a very good core with Devin White, Vita Vea, Mike Evans, Wirfs, and Chris Godwin among others. 8-9 last year...given the weak South, they could easily compete for a playoff spot again next year with some OL help. That was their weakness last year (due to injury of Jensen, departure of Kappa and retirement of Marpet).

Not one word about Florida winning 4 of 5 after dropping what Spencer himself termed a "must win game" vs TAMU in the Gators second conference game. But he gives Mizzou a couple of bullets for beating Ole Miss (who he himself calls one of the worst teams in the SEC). In fact, Adam throws around more underhanded comments about UF..."the (KState) Wildcats should win comfortably". Why can't you just say KState should be favored to win? Gators have played the hardest schedule in the SEC outside of Bama. He made fun of Florida losing to FAU early in the season...yep the same FAU team that is well in the top 20 with a 20-1 record. Gators 8 losses: UConn, Xavier, TAMU (2), Auburn, OU, FAU, and WV. Meanwhile they handled Mizzou. Adam is a puddle of sh!t.

I also thought Hurts would never make it in the NFL. Whoever has coached him in the league did a far better job getting him ready than his college coaches. Jalen never knew where to go with the ball quickly (and in his Bama days accurately often). His scrambles always made up for it. Now he looks good in the pocket. Weird how that can happen between college and the pros. But he is definitely an MVP candidate and franchise QB. Eagles should be set at QB for a decade or more.

The bottom line is Mac and Mullen don't recruit as good as Zook did. We are not one quick hire away from being good. We are 2 - 3 more recruiting cycles away. Plus we need to get all the players out of town who don't want to play. CBN looks to have done that. Gator fans that get mad when we don't win are living in the past.

Just getting the depth is key.
