Wade was considered the No. 2 offensive tackle available in the NCAA transfer portal by 247Sports. He had narrowed his options down to Auburn and USC, choosing Hugh Freeze over Lincoln Riley.
Tulsa transfer Dillon Wade is rated the second-best OT in the @247SportsPortal. He chose Auburn over USC. He’s the sixth offensive lineman to sign/commit in Hugh Freeze’s class of 2023. Tigers need help immediately in the trenches next season.

Wade will be playing for a familiar face. Philip Montgomery was fired as Tulsa’s head coach after the 2022 regular season. He has joined Freeze’s staff as Auburn’s offensive coordinator.
Montgomery and Freeze are making sure the Tigers are loading up in the trenches. Wade heads to Auburn after 3 seasons at Tulsa.
