I do find it funny that they prefer to comment of Gator articles more than theirs. :) Probably because Gator fans have more fun on the comments. I do want to commend the fans of other SEC fan bases who have joined in with the banter and contributed to the humor.
Yes they had a spring game back then. Great year!
Leghumper, you keep mentioning different recruiting statistics but not the average stars number, in which the Gators are 6th overall, and 4th in the SEC. Quality > quantity. Also, schools like Texas and TAMU have had high recruiting classes and yet it hasn’t yielded championship results. Like Doc said, we’ll see in the next few years if CBN will be the Gator coach of the future, but I’m feeling optimistic and looking forward to next season’s growth. In terms of fanbases, I’m glad I’m in the Gators camp, fun posts and insightful comments overall. Except for a few, it’s nice to read about Gator fans who enjoy their team and can be upbeat and optimistic even when the team is having struggles. Life is full of ups and downs, and how you handle them says a lot about you as a person.
Leghumper, gagator mainly complains and insults and rarely offers insightful solutions or suggestions. If he showed any sign of hope or optimism then I’d be glad to engage in a conversation.
I agree that more disciplined play is a must! I think the extra wins this coming season depend on finding a QB that is a good game manager at the very least and can make the necessary throws with minimal turnovers. Plus the oline needs to jive and protect the QB. For the sake of the threads on here I hope that QB is Mertz and you all can write epic stories about his conquests. :)
Well if it doesn’t work out then we’ll let you all have Kiesau as backup :)
Laughter and camaraderie are much healthier than pettiness and negativity.
Tdow, I don’t have to take anything. I love football, but it’s not my identity. I’m not a better or worse person due to the performance of the team I support. Georgia football is not in my radar often, just when the Gators play against them and if they’re involved in the post season. Enjoy the great seasons they have had, which can make for witty banter against your rivals, which is much better than insults. Check out Leghumper’s posts for example. I personally am going to enjoy all things Gator football, chatting with fellow Gator and SEC fans who have clever or funny comments, and I look forward to what can be for next season. I think you’ll enjoy yourself more if you join in on the fun of the Mertz stories like other fan bases.
Speak for yourself gagator, I am looking forward to the game, and I think it would be wise for you to just tune out.
Don’t worry Leghumper, if Monken leaves for the NFL, Kiesau has already agreed to become Georgia’s OC. ;)
Lol doc, if gagator gets hired as coach I may have to avoid games during his tenure so I wouldn’t have to deal with all the negativity. ;) StL, I hear what you are saying, but I’m hesitant to put that as the floor until I see how those teams do with the changes and players they’ve brought in. As we saw with TCU and Duke and other teams a team with improved coaches and/or players can become a contender - which also goes for Florida but I believe 2024 will be the year when they perform at a higher level.
Good points doc. I hope it happens. I don’t know the kid personally but it seems like he took responsibility for his actions instead of blaming someone else or talking t r a s h. That shows a maturity that many these days don’t have.
Doc actually makes insightful and interesting comments; whereas gagator is negative and insulting. If the Gators make you so belligerent gagator then maybe you need a break from them.
If he’s not careful his story will end up in Lifetime instead of the theaters… ;) Hopefully this helps him realize he needs to be more careful so that he can get drafted and continue proving people wrong, but making wise decisions from here on.
As a Gator fan I want Mertz to do well anyways, but thanks to this angle I really want him to do well so these names can go viral. :)
I hope he finds some grace, we all deserve a second chance.
In another article that I read, he seems very excited to become a Gator, a very important quality along with talent and drive.
I see it similarly doc, I think a lot of players will find their footing and get experience in 2023 and the 2024 team will be more competitive. These players that CBN is bringing in seem more hungry and eager to work hard.
I do hope that he can find some grace somewhere and get to play, maybe he can go to a community college while people forget and then he can play D1 in a couple years.
Yo soy Puertorriqueña con raíces Cubanas y viví en Venezuela, Miami, Brazil, y Chile. :)
Lol!! I’m sure he’ll find something to complain about…
