Kirby Smart addresses leaked pregame speech that has gone viral
Kirby Smart is one of the most intense coaches in college football. The Georgia head coach’s passion for the game is palpable.
One of his intense pregame speeches got leaked and it was assumed it was prior to the national championship beatdown vs. TCU.
However, Smart revealed it was actually from a different contest.
@nbaontntKirby Smart’s circulated speech wasn’t even his best one ?
Smart cleared up the confusion during an appearance on The Steam Room with Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley.
The Georgia players had a good laugh at the nation getting a glimpse into what they experience with the fiery Smart.
“That was leaked from a previous game,” Smart said. “Somebody asked which game and I honestly don’t even remember because they all sound like that. The players were all laughing when it came out. A bunch of my guys texted me and said ‘they ain’t even heard the best one’.”
Smart’s approach is clearly paying dividends for a dominant Georgia squad that now sits on the brink of history with a 3-peat within reach next season. The quest will begin with a home game vs. UT Martin in the season opener on Sept. 2.
Pretty sure it was either the Cocktail Party or maybe the SEC Title Game. He mentions in the rant something that happened two (or few) years ago. 2019, LSU kicked our rears in Atlanta. Two years ago we lost the only Cocktail Party since 2017.
He’s great at what he does. UGA is in a very good place right now.
