Josiah Thompson has revealed his top 6 list and it’s dominated by SEC programs.

The 4-star offensive lineman from the Class of 2024 announced on Twitter that he’s considering Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson and Miami.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Thompson is deemed by the 247Sports Composite to be the No. 2 prospect from South Carolina, the No. 5 offensive lineman in the country, and the nation’s No. 58 prospect.

In 2021, Thompson served mostly as a left tackle during his sophomore campaign at Dillon High School. 247Sports considers Thompson to have the potential to be a 2nd-to-3rd round NFL pick, with their analysis describing him as a “plus athlete”.

“Agility, foot quickness and body control shows best when pulling. Fires off ball quickly. Has foot work technique and is physical. Embraces physical aspect of offensive line,” National recruiting analyst Brian Dohn said regarding Thompson. “Can sink hips and explodes well up and into defensive player. Strong on initial contact in run game. Can scrape and get to second level.”

Thompson’s last visit was an unofficial trip to Tennessee on Oct. 15, according to 247Sports.
