Cam’Ron Jackson spent 3 seasons on the Memphis roster. On Thursday, he announced that he’d enter the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility remaining.

It didn’t take him long to decide where he’d be heading next. As you can see below, Jackson revealed on his Twitter account on Friday that he would play for Billy Napier and Florida:

A member of the Tigers’ 2020 recruiting class, Jackson played in 9 games in his 1st season. In 2021, he played in every game, making 9 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

He again played in every game in 2022, racking up 41 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and a sack. He made a career-high 8 tackles against Navy on Sept. 10.

Now, Jackson is headed to the SEC, where he’ll be an important piece of the puzzle for Napier’s defensive line. Meanwhile, the Gators will look to improve on a 6-7 (3-5 SEC record) in Napier’s 1st season, one that included a humbling 30-3 loss to Oregon State in the Las Vegas Bowl — the Gators’ 3rd straight loss.
