Jerome Carvin is headed for the 2023 NFL Draft. The Tennessee offensive lineman announced his decision on social media to depart the program after 5 years.

In his final season, Carvin aided Tennessee to a resurgent campaign capped off with an Orange Bowl victory vs. Clemson.

“As I reflect back on my five years as a Volunteer, it’s been an incredible ride with memories that will last a lifetime. I thank God for the opportunity to play this game and guide me,” Carvin said. “…I now begin the next chapter of my life preparing for the 2023 NFL Draft and can’t wait for the future. I am proud to be a VFL and Rocky Top will always be “home sweet home” to me.”

Carvin allowed no sacks during the 2021 season and in total made 42 starts with 59 appearances for Tennessee.

Tennessee posted an 11-2 record this season, with the lone losses coming against defending national champion Georgia and South Carolina.
