Antwane Wells, standout South Carolina WR, announces 2023 plans
Antwane Wells provided Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks with some huge news for the 2023 season. “Juice” announced his decision to return to the program for his senior season, posting a highlight real ending with “Juice is back.”
Wells is an elite playmaker with track speed and provides a huge boost to the Gamecocks, who now ride even more momentum into 2023. He lead the team in both receiving yards (928) and receiving touchdowns (6) this past season.
Wells spent 2 years at James Madison before transferring to South Carolina to play with Spencer Rattler. With the Dukes, Wells broke the program’s single season records in receiving yards (1,250) and touchdowns (15) in his sophomore season. His performance allowed him to transfer to the SEC as the lead receiver for the Gamecocks.
Wells’ biggest games came when the Gamecocks took the nation by storm to defeat Tennessee and Clemson in their final two games, posting over 100 yards in both appearances. His return has the Gamecocks in great position for next season.
