Jamal Meriweather was committed to UCF, but he’s now SEC-bound. The offensive lineman has flipped his pledge from Gus Malzahn’s Knights to Kirby Smart’s Georgia program.

Meriweather, out of Brunswick (Georgia), announced his UGA commitment Monday. He says that with the flip, his recruitment is now shut down. The Early Signing Period window for the 2023 recruiting class kicks off later this month.

On the 247Sports composite rankings, Meriweather is rated 3-stars, the No. 46 offensive tackle, No. 54 Peach State product and No. 604 prospect overall in the 2023 recruiting class. Meriweather has picked up 25 scholarship offers in his recruitment, including Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee. He had committed to UCF back on April 17.

With Meriweather on board, Georgia now has 23 commitments in its 2023 recruiting class. On his Hudl senior-season highlight complication, Meriweather lists his current measurements as 6-7, 285 pounds. The clip can be viewed below:
