Former Tennessee wide receiver Jimmy Calloway is set to transfer to Louisville in 2023.

Louisville announced that Calloway would be transferring to the program on Twitter. Calloway entered the transfer portal in November and found a new school in 3 weeks. At the time of entering the portal, he joined Jimmy Holiday as the second Tennessee wide receiver to enter the transfer portal.

In 2022, Calloway wrapped up his redshirt sophomore season with the Volunteers. He saw very limited playing time this season, which could have contributed to his decision to transfer. Calloway ended the season with 2 receptions for 20 yards.

He played in 2 games against Ball State and Akron. He did not see any other playing time outside of those 2 games in September. In the Akron game, he was ejected for throwing punches and he did not play after that incident.

In 2020, Calloway played in 8 games for Tennessee. For the 2021 season, he received a redshirt after playing in 3 games. He was expected to be a big contributor to Tennessee’s passing game, but he was unable to live up to the expectations.

Calloway will join a Louisville team that went 8-5 on the season after a 24-7 win over Cincinnati in the Fenway Bowl. For Calloway’s former team, Tennessee will end the season against Clemson in the Orange Bowl on Friday, Dec. 30.
