Alabama’s Brandon Miller and Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe are getting plenty of attention these days as 2 of the best players in the SEC, if not college basketball around the country.

They picked up another honor this week when they were among the 20 players selected by the Los Angeles Athletic Club’s Wooden Award late season top 20 watch list today on ESPN2. The players were chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts based on their performances during the 2022-23 season.

Tshiebwe averages 16.6 points per game, and 13.7 rebounds per game this season, and most recently against Kansas, he led the Wildcats with 18 points and 9 rebounds.

Miller was one of 2 freshmen (Duke’s Kyle Filipowski) in the country to be named to the list, and Miller’s also a 5-time SEC Freshman of the Week honoree. Miller is the only player in Division I to score 400 points, record 170 rebounds and make 65 3-pointers this season. Miller is averaging 19.0 points per game, the most by any freshman in the country and No. 39 overall, per Alabama.
