Lane Kiffin has added one of the nation’s most dynamic tight ends to an offense that ran defenses over last season.

Memphis transfer Caden Prieskorn, who was a John Mackey Award semifinalist this past season, announced on social media on Monday that he’s transferring to Ole Miss.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Prieskorn, a native of Lake Orion, Michigan, had 48 catches for 602 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Tigers in 2022.

The senior-to-be was named to the All-American Athletic Conference 2nd team, and Prieskorn also earned 1st-team all-conference honors from Pro Football Focus and college football analyst Phil Steele.

Prieskorn also thrived for Memphis as a run blocker, according to Pro Football Focus metrics. He was called on to run block on 311 offensive snaps this past season, earning a 64.6 grade from Pro Football Focus. That grade placed Prieskorn in the top 30% of all collegiate tight ends.

Prieskorn is the 7th transfer overall who the Rebels have added during this offseason, and he’s the 3rd transfer who’s now been added to the Ole Miss offense, joining receivers Chris Marshall and Tre Harris.

Interestingly, Prieskorn’s 2022 season began down the road from Oxford in Starkville, where the Tigers were beaten 49-23 by Mississippi State. In that game against SEC competition, Prieskorn managed 2 catches for 25 yards.
