Ole Miss sees veteran LB enter NCAA transfer portal
After 3 seasons at Ole Miss, Austin Keys will look to continue his college football career elsewhere.
Keys revealed Friday that he has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He called it a difficult decision, thanking Ole Miss and the Rebels coaching staff for the opportunity to play in Oxford.

Out of Seminary (Mississippi), Keys joined Ole Miss in 2020. He signed with the Rebels over offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana and Southern Miss.
In his first season, Keys played in just 4 games, recording no defensive statistics. Keys played in 6 games in 2021 before his season was cut short by injury. He had 12 total tackles and a fumble recovery in those 6 games.
This past season, Keys made 12 appearances in his most productive year yet. Keys logged 39 tackles, including 14 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
We’ll see what’s next for Keys. It appears his time in Oxford has come to a close.
…..and the verbal commitment of 2024 4⭐ QB Demond Williams who is doing a great job on the Ole Miss recruiting front goes unmentioned on SDS!!
