End zone was still open in 1980 though... still remember sitting on the tracks watching Herschel outrun the entire GA Tech team racing for a long touchdown in the final game of the 1980 season.
Kirk says "Can Jake Fromm throw the ball on 3rd and 7 at Jordan-Hare (Auburn) consistently? Until they do, we have to wonder."
Do these talking heads do any research before they open their mouths?
Fromm has a QB rating of 201.4 on 3rd down. Is there a QB in the nation with a better 3rd down rating?
It remains to be seen what he will do Saturday night, but Kirk is being lazy... using a stat that Fromm excels at to raise his "biggest question."
