Teresa, I recommend sticking with the pint or half-pints jars as specified in the recipe. The recipe was developed and tested by Ball using pint jars. Deviating from it could compromise safety.

Hi Toni! No need to peel the tomatoes before using a food mill. The mill will remove the peelings for you.
