T-Bone is an idiot

Despite the hiccup over the last week, the turnaround for UGA is certainly worthy of mention. The new HC has done a tremendous job getting UGA to be competitive each week.
Coaches in college have performance-based incentives galore...make a bowl game $50k, win bowl $100k, make conference champ $250k, etc.
If Hugh doesn't hurry up with the QB search, we aren't going to land any receivers of note. He's done great work in the portal thus far, but this kid was AU bound until we missed out on the reported QB portal targets. Very nice pickup for TN.
Seems to be the most prevalent train of thought...hoping for a TCU win, but fully expecting a UGA victory.
Waste of time..your loosing valuable minutes of you're live.
This kid would be a high four star if he hadn't been a late bloomer.
Ellis Johnson should've paid every penny he ever made at Auburn back after that title game. Perhaps the worst coaching performance in the history of football...
It wasn't that subtle but it was extremely moronic. Dilfer will be run out of town by season three or four.
For some unknown idi0tic reason, Auburn doesn't offer a sports management degree (McCall's major). That's why McCall to Auburn isn't already a done deal. If he came to Auburn many of his credits wouldn't transfer, pushing his graduation much further back (and also making his degree pursuit tracking well behind Auburn's transfer requirements). I'm sure Auburn heavily pursuing Devin Leary could've played some role as well, but even that appears to be a bidding war between Kentucky and Auburn now (not sure how that one isn't a no-brainer for Leary).
So, precisely what the toothless NCAA is looking for?
Seriously!? You've never heard of Grayson McCall? I know it's Coastal Carolina, but I think it was two seasons ago that CC was undefeated towards the end of the season and ranked as high as #12 at one point. They lost one game that year... to Hugh Freeze's Liberty. All they did for an encore was go 11-2 the next season and are 9-3 this year with a good chance of hitting ten wins in the bowl game. Grayson McCall is the engine that makes that team run. I'm hopeful he'll pull the trigger on his AU visit and help feed more recruiting momentum.
We don't have to wait for the end, you are wrong in the beginning. Tulsa's offense this past season left some to be desired, but I would suggest taking a look at his entire body of work. Auburn just made two very solid hires for OC and DC. About the only knock one could legitimately have is one about the DC's lack of recruiting prowess. I suggest you change your handle to The Former Standard, assuming you are a bammer (only a bammer would be so pompously grandiose), because ole Nicky better find coordinators that can rival what Auburn just hired or risk finding their own way to the SEC cellar. Hope bama has devised a better future plan than Yabby Dabby Doo. We might just get another version of the Dennis and Mike trio here soon...
The folks I know close to the MSU program say that it doesn't look great for Coach Leach ("he needs a miracle" is the common phrase I'm hearing). If you are of the praying persuasion, please send one up to the Big Man. Coach Leach needs all the prayers we can muster.
The fact you thought Leach a "pompous idiot" makes you a pompous idiot. The man, while certainly strange, is very intelligent, and judging by the scores of successful offenses he's built, a football genius.
The way Lanning spoke, Bo is leaving for the NFL.
I don't care what Leach said to him, this parting comment says a whole lot more about Johnson than it says about Leach.
I don't know that I agree with that at all. I think Stetson Bennett has shown that no moment is too big for him and just enough arm talent for a team to take a 3rd-6th round flyer on him. And I tend to believe it'll be closer to the 3rd round than the 6th round. But I would bet my entire bedroom piggy bank and the change stuck in my couch that he gets drafted somewhere.
I don't know about that, but I was definitely in Coach Prime's corner when the search began. Now, I don't think walking into the AU meeting room and telling all of them to hit the portal because he's bringing "real" players with him would've went over too well. Deion will make a lot of noise and likely bring some much needed enthusiasm to the Colorado program, but time will tell if he can win meaningful football games there. Once he's no longer the shiny new toy he'll have to win over recruits without all the extra fanfare. Maybe he can. We'll see. It'll be interesting to watch and will certainly evoke some what-might-have-beens from AU folks if he's able to find and sustain success.
Short answer to that question? ..yes. TCU, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State would all beat this year's bama on a neutral field.
I'm not against the players making money with their talents, but the current NIL structure (lack thereof) is ruining the college game.
Hope this kid decides to stay at AU. We need him to anchor one of the guard spots next season. Unless Auburn was to score a truckload of portal talents at O-line, he's a near lock to start. Having Jones and Jeremiah Wright anchoring the guard spots would give Auburn a decent foundation for an o-line I think many of us originally expected to be atrocious. With those two back, I think the outlook for next season's o-line is much better than I thought a couple months ago.
No mention of the Mark Ingram Heisman win over Toby Gerhart? Mark had a great year, but I think Toby did way more with a lot, lot less (he also faced stiffer run defenses statistically). I actually think you can make a solid argument that Toby Gerhart, Lamichael James, and Case Keenum all had a better Heisman resume than Ingram that year. Gerhart should have won the award hands down that season (2009 I believe).
Cohen told Kiffin to take a hike when he tried to alter the agreement they had already made. Kiffin to AU was a done deal, but yet again he was done in by his own inability to shut up.
Or negates any possible penalties...is this fear I smell?
I don't think we'll lose a minute of sleep over your feigned disappointment. We get it. An Auburn team with a good coach is a scary proposition...
