ESPN analyst Matt Miller covers the NFL Draft for the network, meaning he’s very involved in scouting college football talent.
As we shift our sights forward to the 2023 NFL Draft, one of the top players on draft boards is Alabama QB Bryce Young, who will be in the mix for the No. 1 overall pick.
So, what makes him such an enticing pro prospect? Miller wrote that Young’s accuracy and ability to scramble set him apart:
Young (6-foot, 194 pounds) is a rhythm passer who is incredibly accurate to all levels of the field. He’s dynamic enough with his legs to create passing windows and can pick up yards as a scrambler. He’s a point guard at the quarterback position.
Young was the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner. Alabama is going to enter the 2022 season as one of the favorites to win the title.
We’ll see if Young can have another big year and end up as the top pick in next year’s draft.

He will win another Heisman. Best player on the best team. Bama is about to roll this year. UGA is about the only team that offers a challenge.
I don't know how the WR position will end up there. Lost Metchie and Williams, but two proven WRs transferring in. The real deal is the transfer from Tech - Gibbs. He is a game changer with the ball in his hands. Yes, a running back, but a good receiver out of the backfield. The Bama fans on here argued with me many weeks ago when Gibbs signed. Giving me lists of 5 star and 4 star players they already had and how Gibbs was needed for depth.
