Nate Oats reacts to Saturday's blowout loss at Oklahoma, discusses how Tide will move forward
Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide suffered an awful loss on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
The then-No. 2 Crimson Tide went to unranked Oklahoma and lost to the Sooners 93-69 — one of the worst losses ever for a top-2 team to an unranked opponent.
Alabama hosts Vanderbilt on Tuesday night, so there’s not much time to get back on track for that upcoming game. Oats said on Monday that he doesn’t mind the quick turnaround:
Nate Oats: "The good thing about basketball is you get to play (again) right away. After Saturday's performance, we're looking forward to playing right away and trying to fix it."

He added that the Monday practice was intense, with a scrimmage that featured several players with high energy:
Nate Oats on today's practice: "It was a lot more intense. We had two teams that got after it. Some guys coming off the bench, I think, were playing extremely hard."

Alabama is still a perfect 8-0 in SEC play. The loss to the Sooners didn’t affect the Tide’s standing in conference action.
Tuesday night’s game is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on the SEC Network.
NICE
LSU has been the biggest SEC West threat to Alabama for more than two decades. Wear your Captain Obvious hat proudly, Connor. You earned it.
one blowout loss isnt a big deal in bball and getting back in a game quickly is the best thing they could do.
Did I miss something? I didn’t see LSU mentioned one time in the article.
The dope rat may have ingested a wee bit too much…
I’ve learned not to get too excited about Bama basketball. They usually start the year with a bang, but for whatever reason, they fizzle out midseason. I fear the game against Oklahoma (which by the way, was a complete embarrassment) is a prelude of things to come!
U should be excited they are a fun team to watch. They just did not play well the last game. It’s very hard to win every game and get up for them day in and day out. They will do just fine the rest of the season
Bama is still a top 5 team this year and will compete for the title in the tournament. I wish my KY wildcats were as disciplined and as good as Bama but they are a plain dud this year. Good luck to the true SEC teams that have a shot for the title. Only a few SEC teams have a real and true shot.
He should do about what Barnes did – shrug your shoulders and move on. REALLY good team, they will bounce back from it.
