After Nico, we'll have George Mcintyre.
I just wonder if UGA will ever recruit a top 5 QB again. lol
Willybob of course he did cause D o n Lemon and you said so..LOL Like I said, every branch on the way down..
And your the last idiot to think C N N is real news? Bahahahahahah! Much more truth an either on truth sites. Lemon semite..lol
It's one game at a time. I think UGA has talent, it's just a matter of getting the right guys in the places. Could just as easily lost yesterday but winning in OT is a confidence builder for sure.
These are what I call healthy losses. It's best to have a game like this before the tournament so you can see what issues you have that lay dormant. No one likes to lose but and these losses are unavoidable for any team. But you can learn some things, as in what not to do and where your vulnerable. TN after Colorado found those things out and it's ever-changing tweeks throughout the season. Bama still imo, a top 5 team.
Just goes to show you on any given Saturday this can and does happen to top ranked teams. We Vols know Bama is the main competition this season. You'll bounce back.
Well this was baffling. Just looked like Bama had no answers for the big men of OU. UK loss wasn't as surprising.
I think he's got the long ball down pretty well and the accuracy seems there. But the short and mid range technical throws where your leading WR's? He's hit a couple of those the last few games and one for a score. This is also something Nico can do coming into to TN. I think they will both push each other in the technical passing area. The velocity imo now is the biggest issue, next short and mid range technical throws. But having taller targets this upcoming season I think will help.
I have to admit when Joe came here and in the 21 season after seeing the issues, I thought there was little chance for a significant improvement. Over the last few games, maybe I underestimated him or the coaching staff's abilities. It's probably a bit of both.
O'Brian is a better OC than Dan would ever be. Despite a game or two issues on D, he slightly improved the overall total offense ranking in 22 from 21. Has anyone from the NFL offered Dan a job like they have O'Brian? Nope.
Let me get this straight. After his issues at his former school in the SEC west and at UF, you think this guy is better than O'Brian? LOL. And behind whatever new QB? Yep, dynasty over.. lol. Dan is brought in for the final silly act before the fat lady sings. lol
So true. Dan Mullen only survived long enough at UF is because a player who he ignored for a bit, Kyle Traske got an opportunity. Without Kyle, Mullen's offense plummeted. Even lost a game over a shoe. That isn't having control of your team. Couldn't motivate enough of those players also stay and play post season. Imo, this is less of a hire than O'Brian. O'Brian did improve the scoring offense ranking from 21 to 22. If Dan is your man, TN is going to beat you at home next season.
Oh no. No this would not work for Bama. Things must be gloomy if they would seriously hire Dan for OC. The only thing that saved Dan Mullen for a little bit at UF was Kyle Traske. And for some of that time, Dan had no idea that kind of talent was sitting on the bench. Still found a way to have his offense undisciplined enough to lost a game over a shoe. No, just no Bama. You'll be missing the good old days of O'Brian if you were to go this route.
I think one will transfer. If there is an unsaid peckeing order in practice of their ability, the second best QB will transfer out. I think that guy is Vandergriff. Nothing set in stone but he's good enough to start at quite a few schools. Also, if you have invested that much bench time in a school and you know your not going to be the guy or QB1, stick your toe in the portal eventually and see who comes calling. Chances are he or that QB wouldn't be going to an empty handed school nowadays with NIL and the portal. Any of those three QB's imo are better options than anyone at Ole Miss. If they feel very competitive, head to Clemson where I'd feel confident about their chances against Klubnick.
A fine post of insight. These are all the same sentiments I have about UGA for the upcoming season. The QB room for sure needs a few more bodies and agree that whom isn't the starter, at least one will transfer out. I expect UGA to win almost all of their games. Playing TN at TN will be a tough game, providing both schools do what we think they will until their matchup. As a Vol, the QB that makes me the most nervous is Beck. I see some great potential there and we'll just have to see how game time experience is for him, as there is no substitute. I don't expect Ole Miss to present a threat to UGA, no matter who Lane gets at QB. That team seems to be missing heart and Kiffin could bolt for Michigan if that jobs comes open in the off season. Outside of TN, imo, there is Huge Freeze and AU. Though his first year, his offenses are a major threat and I'd put them up there with Heupel in his first season. It will get vastly better this off season, just how much is the only question. Ashly has some skill and AU isn't without some depth and talent.
We'll have a much better handle on who TN and UGA are by the time their game rolls around. SB's management of the offense I feel won't be replace with equal execution with any UGA QB this season. From UGA, I think we might finally get a chance to see a more typical passing offense that uses it's WR's more. But those issues that newer QB's have, no matter how many years you were on the bench and in the system make. Nothing replaces game time experience. So by next to the last game played, we'll have a sense who is whom etc.
SC nor UK will be a threat of any kind to TN. We are poised to be that much better on both sides of the ball in 23. NO slight to SC or UK but you are what the majority of the season you have been and we saw that in their game with ND. And UK in its bowl game? Well, there is way more issues than the QB at UK. Looking at what they are adding? There may be some improvement but than again, there isn't much to hang your hat on to say they will be much different from this past season. I know UK had some opt outs for the bowl game but not even a point against Iowa isn't a tweak fix, it's feels like slightly more.
I think the SC loss was more about us and inner team issues at the time than anything they did. I mean where was that team against ND? Plus, the chickens gotta come to knoxville and pay back seems imminent.
Wow, this willybibbly bob is wobbly at best. I'm at a loss for words at the dysfunction.
Willybob, than you should probably move to another country than my friend. Do you have an ounce of common sense. No one here is nor should denounce themselves based on any shade they are. Did you fall out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down? LOL
I will say this about SB. For not having a clear NFL skillset or many attributes of a typical NFL QB, he's done the most with what he has, more so than anyone else I've ever seen. Sure the depth and talent around him greatly helps, but you just have to do the best you can. If 6'1 Brock Purdy, nicked named, "Mr. Irrelevant" for being drafted all overall last in 22, than there is hope for SB at 5'10 in lifts.. lol. Before that his win this past weekend, I didn't think there was a chance for SB to be drafted, but even if dead last drafted, there is a chance. Purdy's performance has go to be very encouraging and inspiring for SB.
We win in more sports than UGA ever will over the next 100 years.. lol We've won more in football than you will win over the next 100 years. It's just your time to be lucky dawgs..lol. NO one is ever going to see, "remember those UGA teams that won titles back to back?". "Yes, worst offense to win a natty, let alone back to back and with the weakest schedule" . I mean even Clemson had a top 10 offense, and passing scoring was excellent. Give yourself another 50 or 100 years and see we'll see where your at. Once the playoff start, your luck will run out and it will in Knoxville next season.. lol Baleee dat.
Dawgs2021 Look what all it took for UGA to win two natties since 1980 and two in a row. Bama had to be less than, TN, UF had to be down too. Avoid Bama this year, go 1-1 against them last year. Beat them becuase they were missing starters. Play the easiest two schedule last year and this year in SEC history. Auburn had to be down, as well as LSU and one 3 year long P a n demic while teams were still recovering. OSU missed a FG and UGA got to play the biggest cupcake team in the history of national championships.. lol This is what you call the things of miracles. It's not like you play a hard schedule or even a average one and beat very good teams. TN was your biggest worry and you won by 14 at home. Which is still sad. But go Dawgs LOL. I see a good team, but I see them more as fortunate and lucky than I see them as elite.
Dawgs2021 Oh, you think you'll catch TN in your lifetime in natties? LOL Sir, you won't even catch up to us for 2nd All time SEC wins..The college football world and fans have only taken you seriously since 17 and that's dating back to when you first fielded a team..lol. You were joked about for most of your existence.. and you will be again. And your coach will still be wearing sporting a viser and Friar Tuck due with fanny pack..lol Do you know how disturbing it is to see a grown southern man having this attire in public? It's sad sir..lol
Dawgs2021 I bet you paid more for,"services" than TN paid for McDonald meals lol.
All is free game. I love going on the UGA threads and make them nuts by showing stats.. They despise them lol
Dawgs2021 It's a shame UGA comes out this season, plays a simple cupcake schedule, lucks out against OSU and wins the lottery by playing a HS team for a natty. And UGA fans wonder why most fans wanted TCU to win! Wonder why TN still gets all the attention. And why UGA still gets no respect after winning their 3rd natty in school history. All of the above is why of course.. LOL When UGA plays, it looks like the Beverly Hillbillies with players from the 70's. lol It's not cool and diverse like TN's team is.. I mean there were more farmer tans in red uniforms than there are in the Big conferences.. LOL It was like watching a faster Ivy league team play, just with more accents.. LOL
