4-star athlete Jacob Oden has finalized his commitment date.

Oden will make his commitment on Thursday, Feb. 2. Tennessee is the lone SEC finalist amongst his top 5. In addition to the Vols, he’s also considering Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Iowa.

This will be a tough recruitment for Tennessee to win, as Oden is from Michigan. He attends Harper Woods High School in Harper Woods, Michigan. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 188 pounds.

Oden is one of the top athletes in the class of 2024. He currently ranks as the No. 160 overall player and the No. 17 athlete in the cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Oden is also the No. 5 player from the state of Michigan.

Tennessee is off to a strong start in the class of 2024. The Vols already have commitments from 3 players, including a pair of blue-chip prospects. Overall, the class ranks No. 16 nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings.
