Jalen Hurts' career turned around during his junior year as a backup to Tua with Dan Enos as his QB coach. Jalen had significantly regressed as a sophomore and was little more than a running back who sometimes threw the ball.
That comeback over Georgia in the SEC championship after coming in for an injured Tua was unfathomable just a year earlier. Absolutely incredible turnaround for a great young man.
You have to watch the games to understand. A lot of Alabama's offensive gains was Bryce Young improvising; complete failure to develop a WR in 2 years; 3rd or 4th and short situations, especially big ones, were stopped more often than they succeeded.
One could argue Bryce Young's shoulder injury was the result of unconsciously knowing that he had to make a play because the guy calling plays wasn't going to help.

Looking at death percentages are the sober, rationale way of dealing with the situation. If we look at a sad, individual story and make decisions based on that, this would lead you to shutdown concerts, amusement parks, sky diving, driving, almost anything you can think of, because at one time or another, there has been a tragic story of someone dying.
