Stoked for the UK game! Mizzou Basketball finally has something to be excited about. Credit to Gates and the Team.

Better ways to spend our time and money during the holidays; especially when the team on the field is missing so many of our key contributors. Who cares about a game about Wake Forest…had it been against KU, Nebraska, or some other school where this was some intrigue maybe. …but bowl season is a joke. This needs to be reimagined; the current model is broken.

In fairness to Drink he didn’t have his full roster with transfers and Opt outs; it showed. Drink needs to find an OC and needs to reload the roster on both sides to offset our losses. I love Brady Cook’s heart and grit; but I think his ceiling is not going to lead to any season above.500 record. Cook is serviceable but if we aspire to win 9-10 games next year going to have to move on from Brady. Drink had our team playing hard all year even after all the tough losses. He needs to inspire the team to work hard and develop. Our best years in the past have been when our 3 star recruits developed and play like 5 stars.

The Illinois game was the best Mizzou game I watched in a long time. Gates has got the program turned around. That was inspired basketball. Mizzou Arena when it is sold out and rocking’ is one of the best venues in the country. I was in school during the good Mike Anderson years and it was awesome. Students need to show up to the games and be loud.

Blake Baker was a great hire. The OC got a head coaching job elsewhere. Wilkes was an NFL coach that didn’t fit but who can blame Drink for hiring him? Need to bring in a good OC that can bring life to our stale offense. Need to reload the roster; bowl game showed that. Bowl season su**s the team I watched all year wasn’t represented in the bowl. Transfer portal should not open up until after bowl season. Players opting out for draft…probably nothing we can do about that unfortunately. Just makes the bowls unwatchable.

Lovett was a big contributor to our offense. Sorry to see him transfer to another SEC school. I guess we have to live with this new normal. We got a WR from OU that will hopefully pickup some of that lost production and Burden in year 2 will be more involved in the offense and hopefully will have a break out season.

Great news! Our defensive secondary will be a strength in 2023 again

He has played under Andy Reid, Sean Payton, and many other great offensive minded coaches. He knows offensive schemes, how to beat every type of defense. He is a winner, leader, and I bet would be one hell of a recruiter. I doubt he would be interested; seems like tv commentator is in his future but it would be awesome if he did

Cook had his moments but his ceiling is a B- to B grade. Horn throws a pretty ball and has a rocket arm; haven’t seen enough of him to know if he has the “it”factor, if he can read a defense etc. etc. but I think he has a higher ceiling possibly an A grade NFL prospect if he fully dedicates himself to the game. Hard to be a dual sport athlete and excel at either; some can and have however.

I know it won’t happen, but think how fun it would be to bring in Chase Daniel as OC for Mizzou. I would love that!

Great news! Best lock down corner I’ve seen in a long time wearing the Black & Gold! So excited for next year, he will further develop and be an even higher pick in the following NFL draft! MIZ!

“Cowardice”? Mizzou has been trying to play the Beakers for years and our athletic department denies McMurphy’s report. See their Twitter response. It’s a shame that a hack reporter can spill this garbage using unnamed sources to insinuate that Mizzou is trying to duck a game with a rival. Anyone around Mizzou could tell you that doesn’t pass the smell test. You are right damage done, as some folks believe anything they read. It is unfortunate and McMurphy should be ashamed of himself.

Yes we have, read Mizzou’s Twitter account denying report and Eli saying “we will play anybody anywhere” how else can that be interpreted? They just aren’t as blunt as me calling McMurphy a hack.

I don’t anymore. And for the record, if we don’t get KU in a bowl game it’s not because Mizzou requested not to play them; I know that is how it will get reported since this McMurphy garbage story got published.

I agree I think that agreement doesn’t hold water either. I don’t trust this article period. My “sources” are better than McMurphy’s so-called sources. Mine are the Mizzou’s official twitter account and Eli himself. McMurphy is too ashamed to name his sources. He is a hack trying to be relevant during Bowl Season which is his career’s Super Bowl. Pathetic.
