College GameDay announced on Saturday that the show will be heading to Knoxville on Jan. 28 for a top-10 showdown between Texas and Tennessee.
The 9th-ranked Vols will take on the 7th-ranked Longhorns in a game that could have seeding implications for the NCAA Tournament. The Vols are 15-3 overall and 5-1 in the SEC. The Longhorns are also 15-3 and 4-2 in the Big 12.
College GameDay heading to Thomspon-Boling Arena gives Tennessee a unique distinction. According to Dan Harralson of Vols Wire, Tennessee will be the only school to have hosted College GameDay for football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball.
The Vols’ football team hosted College GameDay multiple times in 2022, ahead of the Florida contest and ahead of the Alabama game. The Lady Vols will host College GameDay on Thursday, Jan. 26 when UConn comes to town. The men’s basketball team will finally join the GameDay party against Texas.

When you are reporting about a game between the University of Tennessee and the University of Texas, you really need to present more clarity than "Per UT" in your reporting.
No! There is only 1 UT and thatvis Tennessee.
Now go kiss your sister.
Texas has far more recent championships than the Vols. They are the real UT. Tennessee is UTJr.
We were made before Texas so actually that statement is false. At least try and ACTUALLY be credible for once.
And last time they won was in 2005. Only 7 years after we won it.
7 years is a long time. For example, after Georgia whips you in Knoxville you will have lost for 7 years straight.
Au Tvill...
Isn't it interesting that it says Tennessee right after he says UT...
Now go kiss your sister!
Lol!!
Go Vols!
