Brock Purdy looks good because he is on the most QB friendly team in the NFL.. which also happens to have one of the best rosters in the NFL. They are built on run game and blocking schemes. Brock may be solid, but he plays in system where below average QBs can shine, i.e. Jimmy G going to a Super Bowl. You put Brock on 25+ other teams and he is no better than a back up
Actually just a year ago with the same personnel the Colts had a top 3 OL. A couple injuries and down year this last season. But they are very good.

I have a close friend on staff and let slip that the players, and most of the staff, HATE Cal. They can't stand him - the player he specifically named was Oscar.
I think these guys are very tired of Cal rolling the ball out and saying play. Teams have over and over again ran plays (something Cal knows nothing about) that have been successful and our players are standing there like "what was that??".
These guys want to be coached and have a better scheme, not just be yelled at. Cal has lost it, and like a lot of comments have said - Kirby, Saban, etc.. they would all be long gone if they had a 5 year stretch like we have. I am praying he retires after next season.

There were multiple play designs that even Gary freakin Danielson pointed out were flawed. Scrangello is not the answer at OC. I am scared that he is going to be around for a few more years.
