I guess with the soon additions of Texas and Oklahoma, new chains will be added to the list to include Whataburger, Sonic, Fudrucker's, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, among others.
Florida: Burger King Burger King was founded as Insta-Burger King in Jacksonville and made popular with several locations early on in Miami. I believe the Gainesville location bills itself as one of the first, though, admittedly, Burger King is not the first chain I think of when thinking Florida, LOL.
I don't know for sure if KJ will stay or leave, but reports are that he unfollowed Briles on Twitter after Briles had tweeted something to the effect of 'running it back with KJ', then flirting with the TCU job. It was also reported he liked one of the reports of he Enos hire before it became official. I think the TE room will be ecstatic with hire. They will be involved in the passing game, and hopefully, we have more over the middle and crossing type routes to open up the passing game to all parts of the field. I'm not sure how the running game will fair. Lots of talent in that room. Briles was pretty creative with the running game at times, sometimes a little too creative. I suspect Enos will be more power running game style. If we can just improve our defense, which shouldn't be a monumental task, considering last year's stats, we could be alright. Go Hogs!
If he’s offered, he will very likely get a salary bump, whether he takes the job or not. It’s the Jimmy S3xton way.
Agree for the most part. The targeting call was questionable, but I've seen much worse targeting calls. The Landers fumble call seemed pretty bad IMHO. It would be interesting to see the video angle used for review, as it appeared to me, he never lost control of the ball until his elbow hit the ground. Some of the other complaints about no-call holding and such are over things that get no calls in nearly every game. And McGlothern was allowed to play with quite a bit of physicality. I could see easily him drawing an additional PI or two, based on how some regular season games were called.
Agreed. He was on fire, and they put it in someone else's hands with only a single play to succeed or fail? Yeah, Jayhawks fans gonna be complaining about that decision for sure.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is something Arkansas works on. And they nearly pulled it off. Congrats to my Hogs for not QUITE giving the game away.
I wouldn't have Arkansas at 1 just yet. This team needs to see wins against top 10-15 level competition and consistently do so before I would put it above Alabama, even with its loss to the Zags. I do think the potential is there, but I have to see a little more prior to crowning my team tops in the SEC, even for a weekly power poll.
Arkansas had some solid tests in Maui, and the Oklahoma win was good. But this team has yet to face serious stiff competition. It certainly hasn't gone up against several number 1 ranked teams, as Alabama has. I've been impressed with the freshmen and the team chemistry this early in the season. But until it faces higher level competition and SEC competition, where the gauntlet requires bringing it game after game, I will hold my own homerism at bay. That said, I think the ceiling is very high with this team, and I am very excited to see how it all unfolds. Go Hogs! WPS!
Love that guy! Class act all around. A lot of folks wondered if he could cut it in the League, and he has proven himself without a doubt. But the dude hasn't let it go to his head.
Weigman might have a chance, if he enters the transfer portal and plays for someone other than Jimbo. I don't think either Sanders or Jefferson have a real shot. I could see a phenomenal season for one or the other, but I would be surprised if Arkansas won enough games next year to merit an consideration. And honestly, unless Pittman finds a go-to receiver in the portal, Jefferson might take a step back passing stat-wise.
Solid recruiter and position coach. OC? At the collegiate level, remains to be seen. Definitely not proven as yet.
Outstanding! Welcome back for a big encore season, big fella!
Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis. Those 3 were one of the most dynamic trios of rushers ever to play the college game IMHO.
Agreed. I really like Coach Muss, but this kind of behavior is inexcusable. If fans are giving it to him and his staff and team, he needs to learn to tune it out and give it no respect or response. Let the on-court performance speak. Not saying he needs to be perfect, but he should lead by example. Hopefully, he will think twice before jawing at fans in the future. You are the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. You don't owe those SDSU fans a split second of your time or attention.
that was supposed to read "less than 10 yard reception, greater than 10 yard reception, less than 10 yard rush, greater than 10 yard rush, p/k return for TD...."
Imagine if there was a line on this. "Treyon Burks scores his first career NFL touchdown in what manner? 10 yard reception, 10 yard rush, p/k return for TD, passing TD, fumble recovery in the end zone. I imagine you would have scored pretty big betting the last option.
That looked like an Elite 8 type team in Creighton. Give them credit, they didn't cave when Arkansas came storming back from being down double digits. Big props to AB and Arkansas' resilience. They never gave up, even to the very end. This is going to be a fun season to watch Hog ball!
Liked "Of c course The Vol’s season doesn’t have to be defined by the loss to the Gamecocks…It can still be defined by a loss to Vanderbilt!" LOL
Yeah, the wind out there can be absolutely brutal, and the arctic cold does come down into the southern plains.
And had to clear snow and ice off the field last week, though it's not as common as it is in Ann Arbor.
Sounds like the view through cardinal colored glasses, but I hope you are right.
"Mizzou leads the SEC with 40 treys — no small feat for an SEC including Alabama, Arkansas, and a particularly guard-heavy Auburn team." Um... Joe, Arkansas is not a big 3-point shooting team and probably will not exactly excel at that part of the game going forward this year. Just an FYI, unless I end up proven wrong.
Oof! Aaaaaaand of COURSE it would be defensive secondary players, one of which just recently returned to the field due to health issues. Cannot seem to catch a break there.
