Dan Enos officially announced as Arkansas offensive coordinator
Dan Enos is back in Arkansas as the Razorbacks offensive coordinator, the school announced in a quick move to replace Kendal Briles who left for TCU.
Enos has more than 30 years of coaching experience, including 3 seasons as the Hogs’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2015-17. During his 3 seasons in Fayetteville, he engineered some of the most productive offenses in school history with both the 2015 and 2016 Razorback offenses still ranking in the school’s Top 10 for total yards and yards per game.
Enos has spent the past 2 seasons at Maryland as the Terrapins’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, helping the Terps to 15 total wins that includes bowl wins over Virginia Tech (2021 Pinstripe Bowl) and NC State (2022 Duke’s Mayo Bowl).
Since he left Arkansas, Enos coached at Alabama, Miami and Cincinnati.

Excellent!
He never won more than 8 games as the OC at Arkansas. Good Luck!
But their HC was Bert Bielema sooooo……
glad…Ditto that comment. Bielema’s offensive philosophy was run/run/run & run again. Next series was run/run/run Hogs.
I always liked Dan Enos. He’s a smart guy and an excellent quarterback coach. If KJ stays – and hopefully, he will – there should be some major benefits to his passing game.
On the flip side, the current Razorback commitments, especially at the skill positions, are a bit of a concern. Time will tell.
However, the Maryland offensive statistics were impressive. Taulia Tagovailoa threw for more than 3,000 yards and the running game exceeded 1,800 yards. Not a lot of rushing yardage with the quarterbacks.
It will be an interesting fit.
Woo Pig.
I think the most interesting thing to see about this will be the style of play. Enos is definitely a pro style CO at heart, and we definitely have a dual-threat QB room. So this will be a very quick test to see if he can adapt to what he has, not what he wants.
If Jefferson goes with him, that will be one huge hole to dig out of this late.
There will be many more QBs in the portal after spring practice.
That’s when you get a deal on a QB.
I don’t know for sure if KJ will stay or leave, but reports are that he unfollowed Briles on Twitter after Briles had tweeted something to the effect of ‘running it back with KJ’, then flirting with the TCU job. It was also reported he liked one of the reports of he Enos hire before it became official. I think the TE room will be ecstatic with hire. They will be involved in the passing game, and hopefully, we have more over the middle and crossing type routes to open up the passing game to all parts of the field. I’m not sure how the running game will fair. Lots of talent in that room. Briles was pretty creative with the running game at times, sometimes a little too creative. I suspect Enos will be more power running game style. If we can just improve our defense, which shouldn’t be a monumental task, considering last year’s stats, we could be alright. Go Hogs!
