He makes $2m which is more than most NFL OCs. His job security is going to be a lot worse. See Joe Brady.
He will always have the catch against Bama in the championship game.
I don’t know about that. Especially if he was hired and proved himself by turning the D around. He would have been a coordinator under both Kirby and Saban.
The elected Dems in GA are not that stupid. You don’t mess with the CFP champions in football country.
Why do you even want your team to be mentioned? Just rat poison.
Yep it looks like he’s holding dollar bills on image.
That’s like blaming BY and Reichard for Bama’s record. They were not the problem.
K put your hopes on a team that folds like cardboard when they get punched in the gut.
JT is all arm no leg. He has no wiggle and doesn’t sense the pass rush well.
I don't think Kirby will have a problem motivating the secondary after LSU threw the ball all over the place in the 2nd half.
1-4: Who cares? It doesn't matter. You are in the CFP and will have to win two games to take home the national championship. >5: Season is over. Go play a meaningless bowl game.
Dabo just cast some serious shade on the Vols. Sounds like there needs to be a head-to-head grudge match in the future.
I could see LSU beating UGA. One team has everything on the line. The other has nothing. Which UGA team is going to show up? The one that crushed the Vols and Oregon? Or the plodding team that grinded through UK and MO?
CW has demonstrated he can motivate players. He can hire coordinators and assistants to help on player development and the X’s and O’s. The unknown is whether he can recruit. Being a former star SEC player able to relate to young HS players I say yes. Or you can blow a huge chunk of money on an old retread.
The Portal is going to be the coup de grace for Jimbo. The team has given up. What current player with NFL aspirations is going to stick around? A&M 2023 class is currently #23. That is a steep dropoff from his previous classes. If the talent leaves it’s going to get even uglier.
Why not give CW a chance? As a popular alum he is the opposite of Harsin who sharply divided the fanbase. It's going to be hard for the big money boosters to backstab him without facing a big backlash. Going with a "known" HC is hardly a better choice. Just look at the $100m chump across the field who can't with a bunch of 4 and 5 stars.
Or they can mail it in because they are out of the CFP and lose ugly. You still have an outside chance of getting to the SECCG if LSU stumbles. Curious to see which Bama team shows up.
“The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner, but now I am the master.” -Kirby 2022 The whispers will become much louder if 2023 is the same as 2021 and 2022 for the Tide. The recruiting class ranks are very similar but the lack of player development is becoming impossible to ignore. That is on Saban and all the coaches under him.
At 71 how many good years of health does Saban have left? 10-15 years? Kirby has commented on multiple occasions what a grind it is to keep a program elite and he's 25 years younger. Does Saban really want to spend what time he has grinding away to reach something he has already achieved multiple times?
The Vols were getting stuffed on offense. No reason to risk a turnover in the wet conditions and allow the Vols a chance to get back into the game.
Nah. No one wants a Texas situation with their incessant whining “only if our QB wasn’t injured!” Everyone wants a no-holds barred steel cage match. Leave the excuses out of the ring.
If UGA loses they won’t be able to play in the SEC championship and will likely be outside of the top 4 for the CBP. Ditto for UT. It’s a big F game.
The curse of #1. Having to bear the weight of expectations and every team bringing their best effort to the table every week.
How many times did SB throw high or overthrow a receiver? I get it if he’s under pressure or he occasionally misses. Not half a game for 25 yards passing. Fix it.
Kirby needs to shake up the O. You can’t be stymied for half a game and expect to always come back. They have grown complacent since the Oregon game and it’s showing.
The perennial pretenders won’t be wasting a CFP spot this year.
