The quarterback position is the most important in football.

If you have one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, you are in a great spot for both a conference championship run and potentially making the playoff. There are exceptions to the rule when you have an elite defense, but great quarterbacks make the biggest impact.

247Sports ranked their top-131 starting quarterbacks and the top five featured three SEC talents, led by the returning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young ranked at No. 1.

Along with Young are Arkansas’ K.J. Jefferson ranked at 4 and Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker ranked at 5.

While the SEC didn’t have any other quarterbacks in the top 10,  they did have five others in the top-20 with Will Rogers II (11), Stetson Bennett IV (13), Anthony Richardson (14), Will Levis (18), and Spencer Rattler (20).
