Bryce Young, Alabama’s starting quarterback and 2021 Heisman winner, may have just found a new weapon at wideout for this season.

During practice on Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, Young was captured in a video, posted on Twitter by Touchdown Alabama, of him throwing a spiral to true freshman receiver Kobe Prentice.

Last season, Young established himself more with the Crimson Tide, as a sophomore. With 4,082 passing yards, 47 passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, in 2021, Young is looking to potentially surpass these numbers.

With an arm as powerful as Young’s, having someone like Kobe Prentice with the stamina to catch these footballs is a huge boost to the Crimson Tide offense.

Prentice, a true freshman, who has gained a lot of attention this past off season and throughout fall camp. One of the people that has really being intrigued with Prentice is Tide head coach Nick Saban.

“Well, I think that he’s showing promise with his quickness playing in the slot, I think his opportunities have increased since JoJo got hurt, and he’s taken advantage of it and played, you know, fairly well,” Saban said, per Nikki Chavanelle of On3.

To see more of the Young and Prentice connection, keep an eye out this Saturday, Sept. 3, as Alabama opens their season against Utah State.

More importantly, don’t miss out an opportunity to see Prentice in his first official start with the Tide.
