I think it's the fact that Bama is just used to winning. Some of, if not most of, the kids at Bama come from successful HS programs then move to Bama, a place that routinely beats everyone in their path. When you get comfortable winning all of the time, you can some what get complacent. Next years Bama team will be Dangerous. Next year in Tuscaloosa, LSU vs Bama, will be another blockbuster match up with two teams that feel like anything other than CFP is failure.

I agree with you that he hasn't proven anything just yet. I mean it's pretty hard to recruit for HBCUs because kids want to go somewhere that they know they will get a chance to shine on a grand scale. HBCUs barely get tv time in their respective markets, let alone nationally. I think I saw the Bayou Classic on tv while I was at MCAS Cherry Point once. They just don't have the same draw.
