Mizzou is having it's ups and downs, but they've been building that chemistry and getting better each time. They'll peak at tourney time if there's no injuries.
Not only did they always get the best midcourt seats in the lottery, but Mizzou in general did not give many tickets in A section to students. They definitely got preferential treatment to get those A16 seats for 30 years straight. There was resentment among students as most tickets that went to students were nosebleed C and D section.
Never heard that story about the Antlers, but it sounds like something they'd do. They must have some sort of political pull to still be around. Never liked that group, even when some people I knew were on it. That group has never been a good reflection on the University student body.
So now you're looking for the exact same situation in order to justify your stance? The guy at Alabama was let go once it happened. Violent situations have happened with our athletes too. Alabama took the correct action and let him go and there's an investigation that has already occurred and one that's ongoing. What else do you want them to do?
You remember Jed Frost? Yeah, he played basketball for Mizzou and he killed someone recently. You really think Bama condoned murder? I don't think so. Don't play the high-and-mighty card.
Your questions don't pertain to anything that I stated and they really don't make any sense anyway. Please explain why you think your questions make sense in response to anything I stated.
It's probably the Antlers if they are still there. Most of the time they were ok, but they crossed the line many times while I was there in a very classless way. No idea if they've been disbanded yet, but they should have been 30 years ago. They always seemed to be able to get tickets next to the court while it was a pipedream of other students. So administration sanctioned it in some fashion even if it was "unofficial" They've always been a bad representation of Mizzou athletics and the dozen or so members do not accurately represent the 30,000 other students.
Did you live in California and experience what they did? Kid should have had every right to get out of there for any reason.
Exceptions should have been made. The kid was basically a refugee from an overly tyrannical California government. But our whole country had lost its mind. Like all our knowledge of science was suddenly forgotten.
That’s a really odd statement to make. It’s not like Mizzou is having a lot of success recruiting 4 stars at other positions by saying, “come to Mizzou, we don’t have any 4 stars at your position”. I’d prefer him not turn away really good players who want to try to play at Mizzou.
I didn't see the game, but I can't imagine being unhappy with SEC officiating after Big 12 officiating.
You dodged one problem and created another. But I think the team will be better off overall
At this point, If I’m a coach, I wouldn’t want him on my team even if only 1 million.
If the Ohio State - Georgia game had been a blowout too, he'd have a good point putting Tennessee or Alabama up there.
I'd have to put Ohio State, Michigan, and TCU in a tie for 2nd. Michigan shouldn't be ranked higher than TCU due to the loss. Ohio State shouldn't be ranked higher than Michigan because of head-to-head. TCU shouldn't be ranked higher than Ohio State because Ohio State had a far better game against the national champion Bulldogs than the pathetic showing TCU had.
There's a lot of programs in the US for that too.
Towson had to punt a lot with poor field position. You tend to punt longer with a longer field. According to Kickpunt, the average kicker in FBS is 48 yards, which beats his average, which in turn beat's Mizzou's average punt last year. As for putting the punt within the 20, that doesn't tell me much.
Then he should be kicked out. I hate it when people aren't considerate of others and block the view. I don't go to games to see the back of signs.
Is there a rule that was being enforced or was it just that they didn't want that sign on TV?
The last time TCU won a national championship was 1938 and Tennessee finished 2nd with a record of 10-0 in the AP. The next year was the last time Texas A&M won a national championship in football and Tennessee finished 2nd with a record of 10-0 in the AP.
Nothing you stated says I heard wrong. The motorcycle story is worse than you think apparently since you assuming what I heard is better than what you think you know.
He wouldn't be the first coach A&M had that was known to have affairs with the young ladies. I'd be more surprised by an SEC university that hasn't had a coach that has had an affair. Most just look the other way and the media connected the university don't write about it. As for the motorcycle story, I heard that wasn't really true either.
Nothing you stated disputed the truth in what I stated nor added to it.
Other coach has to deal with keeping his roster together too. That's just a part of college football.
I don't see that as a bad look at all for the team, just the individual. The fact that a Mizzou player offered his hand is more telling. I haven't seen that in the SEC for a long time. I've seen more celebrating after a hit than helping someone up.
I really don’t expect Mizzou to be anything other than mediocre in my lifetime for football.
One of my favorite head coaches in terms of developing a program. I would have liked Mizzou to have offered him before he went to Mississippi but I doubt he would have come. Mississippi State and the SEC lost a good one. Prayers for his family and thanks to Coach Leach for all the fun games I got to see him participate in.
The payout for Music City Bowl last year was $6.2 million. Revenue is shared about all the schools except if the payout is over $6 million. If it's over $6 million, then the school gets $2 million and the rest is split 15 ways (14 for the schools and 1 for the SEC) Some of the information I presented may have changed since I was looking at SEC agreements that were a few years old.
The rumor that put everyone in the Big 12 against Mizzou and likely led them to consider going to the SEC was started by Kansas.
