I'm going to need to see that in writing. If LSU wins the tiebreaker, they are the Champions. Period. Not co-champions. Looking at the SEC website, they have a Championship drop-down menu. Clicking the link for Football I see that LSU is listed as the West Champion and Georgia is the East Champion. I don't see Alabama listed. At all. And they certainly weren't on the field for the game.
You have received some indication that Kingbury has been extended an offer and accepted?
Yeah. Here's hoping he stays healthy and goes on to have a successful career.
The real reason that Rashada wanted out of his NLI had nothing to do with money. He was just afraid to compete against the Mertzatron!!!!! He knew he would be found wanting. All roads lead to Mertz, baby!
@dixieduck Are you familiar with the USWNT? The women who sued because they were paid less than the men solely because women's soccer generates less money worldwide. Right. So now they take money from the men's team/earnings and split it out so the teams make the same.
I sometimes use NC if the context makes it clear what I'm referring to. I never use "natty" to refer to the National Championship.
I wouldn't count out KY next year. They are getting a legit QB1 and Coen is coming back.
I'll be shocked if he isn't kicked to the curb for this behavior - assuming the charges stand and there isn't some kind of recantation.
It's a joke. And I find it amusing. Beware the Metrzatron!!! The one being in the Universe that can stand up to the Blazing Sword!!!
All aboard the Mertz-train. Choo! Choo! As a rabid Dawgs fan, I'm terrified to play the Gators this year with the Mertzinator at the helm.
I would draft Young, Stroud, Duggan, and Bennett (in that order) over Levis. But I'm certainly no NFL scout.
Not going to lie. That ending got me. RIP Coach Leach.
I wish him success wherever he goes. Here's hoping he stays healthy, racks up some big numbers, and gets drafted early next year.
Alabama fans aren't laughing. And they certainly aren't crying. They're probably muttering good riddance.
Just another example of why we need an ignore button in this comment section.
I'm aware. Tennessee beat Alabama. But most people still rank Alabama higher. It's just my opinion on rankings. So, do you think Michigan should still be #2?
I didn't take it negatively. All good. South America does have a football team. They just play the game wrong.
That is my inclination as well. Otherwise, I might be tempted to move TCU further down in the rankings.
I wish I could say I was being clever in some way. But no. Just a good ole fashioned typo without the benefit of an edit.
I think this is mostly a nothing-burger, but I would rank the teams something like this: #1 - Georiga #2 - Ohio State (pains me to put them here) #3 - Michigan (fluke loss, still think they are better than TCU) #4 - TCU (their luck ran out) #5 - Tennessee (with Hooker) #6 - Alabama
You have actually implied in your attacks on me that Georgia and Kirby are beyond reproach or criticism. If that isn't what you meant then you should probably choose your words more carefully. Specificity matters. That aside I never said that CKS wasn't an amazing coach. History may eventually prove that he is one of the best all time college football coaches. But we aren't there yet. There's not another coach right now I would rather have at Georgia. And I completely agree that Georgia has underperformed in the past. Some of the underperformance was under Kirby. I think he has adjusted his philosophy a bit and is much more aggressive on offense than he was earlier in his tenure. I think Monken is a BIG part of that. Here's to future success and hoping for a 3-peat. With the schedule this year we have a better than a good shot to make it to the SECCG. Not sure yet what we will get from Kentucky with Coen coming back and Milton replacing Hooker. Looking forward to finding out.
Now you're moving the goal posts. You're separating results from the number of 4 and 5 star players on the team.
I have no idea what the heck you are even talking about. I'm proud of the team's successes. But it is completely arrogant, short sighted, foolish, and insane to think UGA will never lose another game or that Kirby is infallible. Which appears to be the ridiculous standard you think a "true" Georgia fan should have.
By undefeated I meant 15-0. Like this year. UGA has decentish odds to go 12-0.
I've rewatched that play a few times myself. It wasn't targeting. By rule. A vicious hit, certainly. But not illegal.
So many questions for next season. That's why we watch the games.
That's one tradition I would like for us to forsake. I would like to start a new tradition: win 'em all! We've had the inaugural event this year. It's only right to continue. (seriously, I don't think it's likely that UGA will go undefeated this year)
