Having UT & LSU get back to an elite level would be great for the SEC so I hope they can build off of last season's successes. If Auburn and Florida can take a couple steps forward in 2023 then that much better for the conference as well.

Freeze's hiring was absolutely questioned by many objective observers in CFB, to deny that is just being ignorant. It had nothing to do with the on-field aspect though, unlike Harsin, but everyone was questioning why Auburn would hire someone with so much baggage off the field.

TN may not make the playoffs. UGA, OSU/Mich, & TCU are three of the four spots if they all take care of business and win out. The fourth spot is up for grabs between a 1-loss division runner-up Tennessee, a 1-loss division runner-up in OSU/Mich, & a 1-loss Pac-12 champ in either Oregon or USC. Either way, pretty dumb of UT to lose on purpose considering the playoffs is not a guarantee.

As it turns out, you're wrong! Michigan's blowout loss was by 23 pts. 23 is a larger number than 17. Therefore a 23 pt difference in score is a larger margin than a 17 pt difference in score. You're welcome for explaining basic math to you.

I remember him saying that. I think people mistake "rebuilding" for "not a good team". You can be rebuilding and still have a great team at the end of the day. Alabama had a lot of pieces they needed to replace last year and Saban did an excellent job of getting the new guys ready. I'm hoping Smart can do something similar this year with all of our turnover.

All any team can hope for going into the season is a chance to win it all at the end. I'd rather take my chances against OSU in the playoffs instead of playing in the Gator Bowl.
