Would be nice to have a game, just one game, where the officiating was called correctly and consistently for both teams. Maybe some day in a fairy tale land it will happen.
We're having a BBQ memorial; ribs, pulled pork, tenderloin...
Something besides the casinos in Vegas to watch out for stealing your money now.
Colorado will be the third school he's played for, but only his second transfer...
If he'd committed to playing WR this past season he'd have helped our offense by stretching the field. Whoever is in his ear saying he's got a future at QB is hurting his pro career.
Glad to have him stay, now if he'd just stop killing drives with poorly timed gimmick plays.
Not just lying about an affair with a staff member in the athletic department. A staff member he hired rather than other applicants who were actually qualified or over qualified for the job, and whom was a direct report to him. If he'd had an affair with a staffer outside of football it'd likely have turned out differently, and he'd have gotten fired for something else at a later date.
Don't forget Catalon, though he's not been a big contributor due to injuries.
"“Unbelievable” doesn’t begin to describe it" No, but embarrassing does. This is not a W to celebrate.
He's gonna have to learn to read a D beyond a jr high level to do that. If there's any pressure, he bails and tries to run. If his first read isn't immediately open, he bails and tries to run.
Really wish he'd have committed himself to switching to WR, he could become a Tyreek Hill type player.
Wasn't expecting him back, but thought it would be due to graduation/lack of eligibility left rather than transferring. Sad to see him go as he was a consistent performer in his role.
Hogs vs Mizzou is only a rivalry in the eyes of the SEC office and media. Maybe in the future it'll become one but quite trying to manufacture a rivalry that doesn't exist.
Next man up. And honestly not a huge loss; he came in with a lot of promise and has made some very timely catches the last couple seasons, but he has had as many if not more costly drops (that were easy catches) over that span. Best of luck to him for his future
Holtz picking LSU is no shock, he has a long and consistent history of picking against the Hogs ever since Broyles fired him.
Don't know that he's ready for a P5 job just yet, much less one in the SEC with the lack of patience shown by Auburn, but Coach Sanders will likely be a great pickup for an AD willing to take a chance on him before long. I've had a chance to hear him speak about football, life, and whatever else that came to mind and coaching/mentoring isn't just a sideshow or act for him. He's the real deal, and serious about teaching the boys who come to him to be educated young men.
Briles at times makes me pull my hair out, mostly when he calls a poorly timed gimmick play while the offense is clicking to kill a drive, but there's few I'd rather have teaching the QBs and running the offense. When he inevitably leaves us for a HC job hopefully we get someone on par with him.
We heard that so many times during the Morris error, even at the end there were apologists who thought we just didn't give the guy enough time for players to learn the system. There is light on the other side of the tunnel...
Uh huh, and how great did Bret look at Wisconsin prior to coming to the SEC? Not saying he's going to fail as hard as Bret or Chad, but the media (and some fans) were putting BK in the same space as Smart and Saban which is beyond absurd. LSU is not as bad a team as they looked last night, and are far from the multi-year rebuilding project this author claims.
"Everyone knew that the new LSU coach had a lot of work to do in a multi-year rebuilding project in order to make the Tigers SEC West contenders and nationally relevant again." You'd think they'd just suffered a decade of Brett Beliema and Chad Morris rather than being 3 seasons removed from a record book rewriting national title season. Quit making excuses from Kelly, LSU wasn't as bad off as you make them out to be. Maybe, just maybe, Kelly isn't the elite coach y'all in the media proclaimed him to be.
Ole Miss didn't hire Nutt away from us, we as a fan base ran him off due to his continued mediocrity and under achievement. Never seen a coach achieve less with more than Nutt did.
IMO the greater sin is bringing in MLB guys who are out of touch with the college game to announce.
Great performance today by Connor to start this CWS off right for the OmaHogs.
Wasn't feeling good about things after the second weather delay, but ecstatic to see the Omahogs come out composed and finish off UNC.
Nah the play by play (at least for the Arkansas games) was consistently bad.
Umps at both the college and pro level this season are trying to make the game about them. They need to be reminded that NO ONE is at the game to see them.
Maybe today the Hogs will have a large enough lead that a bad coaching decision doesn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Bringing in Noland to try and close things is a big reason we've got to play today. Tygart has been the closer all season for a reason, and to not go with him to start the 9th last night was questionable at best.
