Not too worried about DC. Can’t be worse than Golding. (Right?)
Boy, this pre-analysis of the Ok/Bama game seemed a little off…
“The Huskers didn’t lack talent; they were just coached by a ding-dong.” Quality journalism right there. SDS is sinking to Barstool levels of incompetence.
No, BoB benefited from the best qb in Bama history. If Bryce Young isn’t at Bama I’m positive there would have been far more losses. Mullen could coach up just about any qb - I give BoB no credit for BY. None. Zilch. Nil. Nada.
I’ve lived most of my life in GA: the fan support has always been there. Only difference now is the dawg fans are about as arrogant as Bama fans mid 2010’s. Otherwise I haven’t seen a sudden increase in participation.
Hate to disappoint you. BTW, the o line coach that Saban poached from y’all last year isn’t exactly knocking me out - want him back?
Yeah, we’re kinda there at this point. No sane Bama fan believes Saban is still at his peak. Mullen needs to learn the recruiting game from the GOAT and then get back in the job market; where better to learn than under Saban? At the same time, his lack of recruiting prowess could be the thing that kills his chance to even be interviewed: CNS values both coaching acumen and recruiting skills. We shall see. I’m definitely not opposed to Mullen being the Tide OC. Grantham, though…(shudder) deer Lawd no.
DC - pruitt and smart both became D1 SEC head coaches; how is that bad? As far as BoB, the three and outs seemed to be scheme issues (and receivers not getting open or catching). I’ll admit he wasn’t as bad as Bama fans make him out to be…but his concepts just didn’t provide the balance or clock management that Bama needed with a weak defense. Also agree BY is best ever Bama qb - imagine what Bama would’ve looked like this year with him. RTR!!!
For FL to take a stand, they need to hold the kid to his LOI: remember, folks, supposedly the school doesn’t have anything to do with NIL, so no reason for the university to concern themselves with this stuff.
Which division of SEC were you playing in for your undefeated seasons? The best or the least?
“Also, Bama’s players chose not to opt out of that game, mainly because they knew that the risk of injury was low (if it was a bowl game against a Big 10 or big time ACC team they would have sat out).“ —- that is about the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. You should be a feature reporter for SDS.
He forgot what he wrote - give the guy a break: how’s he supposed to remember his idiotic talking points from day to day? He’s too busy playing with his toys and drooling on his keyboard.
Definitely agree about DC importance; don’t agree on offense (BoB must go) and recruiting (Bama has gotten plenty of GA talent last cycle and Kirbz has a fair share of talent from AL - no walls around here). I personally the the unholy Trinity of Freeze/Pearl/AU will try cheating their way to the top again soon and ncaa is too toothless to try and stop them.
Prolly spend too much time attempting to understand barner logic.
Yeah, this seems pretty reasonable for the most part. Might put corndogs and viles a little higher. Super interested to see what ACC looks like next year: UNC, FSU, and Clemson might be formidable (not sure about top 5 tho)
Truly a sidewalk Gump comment. Do you even know where Tuscaloosa is?
One win in last eight tries isn’t compelling enough for dynasty. Definitely UGA is big dawg in CFB now; dynasty isn’t too far off as long as they can get another win over the GOAT
Nakobe Dean and DJ Shockley are my all-time favorite non-Bama players. (Distant third is Johnny Football - as angry as I was to watch him dominate Bama, he sure was entertaining LOL)
Other than taking pictures of the Bama recruiting board on his way out the door, I can’t think of any other POS moves by Kirby. He’s definitely built a great program and looks like the new premier program. A three peat would solidify the dynasty IMHO.
Boy, your 1-8 record vs Bama and Saban is really swelling your head.
