I understand the enthusiasm from Vol fans concerning Milton. He played well vs. Clemson(an ACC team that is not what it once was a few years ago, especially in the secondary). He must improve on connecting withe Heup's famous long ball passes to be a successful Vol QB; because Nico will not be ready to run this offense in the first 4-5 games. If Milton can improve on that long-ball accuracy he'll be fine. Vs. Clemson he eased off on the velocity and threw some balls short to compensate. In the SEC that will spell trouble.

True...As long as Drink is the Mizzou coach there will be seasons of 6-6 and zero surprises. He's over his head in the SEC. I posted it the day he was hired and still stand by that post.

I read that Frost pretty much checked-out of serious coaching his last 2 years in Nebraska. He was always late to meetings and his mannerisms indicated he really did not care. At Nebraska he was his own worst enemy, sorta of like Harsin at Auburn.

Bear...College football is my only sport to really follow. I gave up on the NBA a long time ago and loosely follow the NFL, only during the Playoffs. I'll be cheering for Joe Burrow this weekend. I watch PGA Golf for the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA & British Open, but only on the Sunday round, late in the day. That's it for me.

Heup has done a very good job for the Vols. He came to Knoxville with his ultra-speed-offense and has had more talent on his teams than he's ever coached; thus the quick success. AD's give out raises and extensions like they are wooing a girlfriend with gifts.

The Buyout on Heup's extension and the years should be a concern for all Vol fans. There are no guarantees of continued success in football, ever.
