Former Texas QB Hudson Card has decided on his transfer destination. Card is headed to Purdue to continue his college football career.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news on Monday.

The 6-foot-2, 201-pound Card is a redshirt sophomore with 3 more years of eligibility. Card has amassed 1,523 yards and 11 touchdowns during his 3 seasons at Texas.

This is a needed addition for a Purdue squad that was limited to only 2 scholarship quarterbacks after starter Aidan O’Connell declared for the NFL Draft and freshman Brady Allen entered the transfer portal.

The accurate Austin native has completed 65.5 percent of his passes and only tossed 2 interceptions in his 108 passes. In Texas’ win vs. West Virginia on Oct. 1, Card went 21-for-27 with 308 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Card arrived at Texas as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the nation, as well as the No. 2 player from Texas, and the No. 59 overall recruit in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

No. 20 Texas will conclude the season with a matchup vs. No. 12 Washington on Dec. 29 in the Alamo Bowl (9 p.m. ET, ESPN).
