I think Corch2.0 was referring to 15-0. True. But CNS went 14-0 and 13-0, both with a NC. In other words, no one left standing, including the Bullpups.
Fuzzy, I have been reading through every post because your point is EXACTLY what my first thought was when I read the article. A lawsuit before a funeral? Either these people are money hungry or the law firm wants early exposure as a marketing ploy. But it’s incredibly disrespectful to both of the deceased young folks, especially their own flesh and blood. My GOD! To want to hold a press conference already would be enough for me to tell the law firm no. We’re finding someone else. —- And here we are, Thursday evening and news from the family is they do not intend to sue UGA. Funeral set for Saturday, Jan. 21. And Mr. Wiley of Big As Lawyers and BBQ has shown he was only wanting a marketing gimmick. Maybe he needs to hang out in the local ER like the lawyer did in the John Grisham book, The Rainmaker.
Here’s the truth; I cried when I got news that Coach Bryant died. And I cried when Coach Leach died. SEC Shorts, my heartfelt thanks.
Nutz, I understood what you wrote. Then again, I had an excellent English teacher in junior high.
When I first read the question Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers didn’t even enter my mind. REM. Done. But then I thought, wait, SEC town? UGA and FL play in Jacksonville at TWLOCP every year so it’s gotta be Lynyrd Skynyrd!
1. I hate the Bucknuts. 2. Harbaugh can’t win the big one. 3. Err, (rolls eyes)
Exactly. Those penalties were drive killers on O and drive extenders on D.
Matt, I’m with you on almost all of this stuff about Bama. And as we watched, Day had a brain fart and didn’t make the right plays to get his FG kicker closer for a potential game-winning kick. That would have shut down all of this ‘Kirby is the new king’ talk. But, let’s go back to pre-season. Almost all of you media types were fawning all over aTm and what happened? Every dang one of your crew was horribly wrong. This coming year I expect UGA to be the best in the East and be back in Atlanta. Whether it’s Bama or LSU in the West is a coin toss in my mind. But this I’ll bet; it won’t be the Aggies. Regarding Saban believing in his team is natural. But, he does deserve to have an opinion whether you agree or not. Remember, Saban vs Kirby is 1-4.
Froggy, are you referring to the comment that Auburn and KY will be the toughest teams on the UGA schedule next year? I ask bc I don’t see UGA playing Bama or LSU next year unless it’s at the SECCG. Just curious.
Any thought of the committee trying to get a B1G Natty?
Brock Bowers, even as a freshman, showed us he’s someone special. High 5 to him and the Bulldogs for their accomplishments. Everyone else is going to have to totally revamp what they’re doing this spring to get ready for next season.
Hey, at least he had a Natty to show up for while your bunch and my Tide was at home on the couch.
Replacing the offensive MVP is defensive MV Javon Bullard. — SDS keeping the #1 spot in the ‘Failure to Proofread’ category.
I wanted an SEC win but this sure made me wrong when I said Johnston would score some points. Kirby has got him a machine in Athens.
As an SEC fan I hope UGA can win but Connor, your article, while thorough, failed to admit that Ryan Day screwed his team out of an opportunity to get the ball a bit closer at the end to give his kicker a better chance at the FG. That missed FG looms large. Had it been good this article wouldn’t exist. My point is this will likely not be a gimme for the Bulldogs. Now, about that tailgating….
Regardless, gotta love UGA. All of ‘em. Great mascots. Just wondering, is there anything contractual that would prevent the university from going to another bloodline to have a younger, more ‘athletic’ UGA?
I do hope UGA wins as I’m an SEC guy but it likely won’t be a gimme. That receiver, Johnson, is dang good. He’ll put some points on the board.
To use an analogy, when Michael Jordan was asked about LeBron and ‘the greatest of all time,’ he replied that you can’t really compare eras. I’ll go with that.
One fandom thing those Longhorns are gonna have to get used to is down horns. They can keep their ‘we make the rules because we’re the bully’ attitude in Austin.
Well, the missed FG and Ryan Day not getting correct calls to get the ball closer than having a 50-yard FG at the end. From 40 it might have been a Bucknut celebration. We’ll never know.
Connor, I have been known to type da m n but will you have your supervisor take a look at the above post by Kirby4Prez? He said he hopes the plane drops out of the sky with the Georgia team on it. Thanks for checking it out.
Not so fast, Ronnie. Georgia fans weren’t expecting the Bucknuts to score much, either. TCU has a superb RB and a WR who will play on Sundays. And their QB was in NY with SBIV. And one last thing, OSU missed their end of game FG. TCU didn’t.
CrankE, I didn’t read your post before sending mine. Please accept my apology for seeming to step on your toes.
Did the shipment include a mustard bottle? I know the Vols love their condiments. (rolling eyes emoji inserted here).
