Trajan Jeffcoat, Missouri DL, updates plans for the 2023 season
Trajan Jeffcoat, a 3-year starter and All-SEC selection in 2020, has reversed course and updated his plans for the 2023 season.
The former Missouri defensive lineman entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports, including Max Olson of The Athletic. It was only 5 days ago that Jeffcoat said he would return to the Tigers in 2023.
Jeffcoat this past season made 3 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss at Auburn, had 3 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack against Georgia and had 3 tackles against Kentucky.
In 2020, Jeffcoat made 23 tackles and 6 sacks for the Missouri Tigers’ defense. In 2021, with an NFL future seemingly on the horizon, his production slipped to 10 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks. This past season, he appeared in all 13 games for the Tigers, and made 21 tackles and 1 sack.
The 6-foot-4 and 269 pounder is from Columbia, South Carolina (Irmo).

So he’s going home to SC, hate to see him go but we’ll be ok. Beamer will need more help to beat the Tigers.

Yes on the surf it looks this way but.Jeffcoat needs stats and starts to have a chance at nfl jobs. His replacement should be able to surpass his numbers from a freshman or Sophomore roster spot. This works out for all parties better with any luck at all
So the NCAA creates a problem but provides the freshmen and portal solution. It is a staff hours and recruiting skill problem just the same
