I think you're spot on, but it would be nice to see Sankey stand up to Saban just once, even if it's something as remedial as a coord hire.
Perhaps in the rearview, but going 3-7 head to head on Saturday is gross any way you look at it.
Pretty embarrassing showing in the the SEC/Big12 Challenge. Congrats to Miss St, TN and Mizzou. Everyone else holy cr*p, way to faceplant on the whole "It Just Means More" thing.
Should have been Mizzou instead of Auburn tbh. But oh well, just keep winning an it'll take care of itself.
He saw the writing on the wall, or someone in the Rams organization told him what the writing on the was "better quit now when college Head Coaches are looking for staff replacements instead of later after they've been filled."
Yeah but you just said it "With Ruhle at the helm I expect them to be much better." I agree with you, but if were expecting something then it shouldn't be a surprise. Much of this list are either teams who were truly surprises a year ago or teams you now expect to be better due to coaching changes or whatnot.
A lot of these were actually "surprises" last year, and would have been a good list a year ago but no so much this year.
But you weren't talking about at one point or another, you clearly defined it while Mizzou was in the SEC. How about you guys actually get into the Big12/SEC challenge sometime, or I don't know, an SEC Champ Game in football. Haven't seen you guys in one of those while we've been in the conference.
Incorrect, there are lots of SEC schools who haven't won a natty in something while we've been in the SEC.
As far as picking the winner he was "a little off..." on 3 of the first 4, so far. The SEC needs pick it up bigtime in the evening games just to get to 4 wins. It's 4-1 in favor of the Big12 right now.
Lol yeah, if Texas vs Texas was on pay per view Longhorn fans would actually believe it and pay the $49.95. Then they'd act like they got ripped off when they realized it was a typo.
"No. 10 Texas at No. 4 Texas (Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN)" I guess No. 10 UT at No. 4 UT would have been too confusing...
Considering the timing of the Fla/Mizzou game in mid-Nov, Fla will have to have won more games than expected to be favored @Mizzou, or Mizzou will have be well under expectation by then. Not saying it wont happen but that's what will probably have to happen.
Yeah well here's another concept, free speech isn't free consequence. Nothing is free of consequences, good or bad.
Another step in the right direction. Gates has it going on, that's for sure.
I haven't heard the video and I do agree that context matters but this is not a free speech thing, no one stopped him from saying anything or artistically expressing himself. It's more of a reactionary or disregard for context issue that is happening in our country.
Arkansas has to go on a heck of a roll to grab an 8 seed. If the tourney started today there's no way to justify them being an 8.
Hard to say, we don't really know what a healthy Cook looks like and I'm looking forward to finding out. What we do know is neither Horn nor Garcia run or bring near that kind of threat to the offense. Also having a new OC will undoubtedly factor into it as well. I am looking forward to seeing both Horn and Garcia in the spring game though as Cook will not be playing.
I mean teams all across football are scoring more than they ever have, offenses/coaching are ahead of defenses/coaching. Do you really think Bama is/should be immune to any and all trends?
Not sure he burned a bridge but the staff may have simply moved on while he was in the portal. A few days after he announced he was staying at Mizzou the DE from ASU committed, and Jeffcoat was basically left without a spot. Had he not messed around in the portal for so long things may have been different, idk. I guess commitment goes both ways...
There have been literally hundreds of QB's who could "throw it straight". That's not at all what separated Montana from those hundreds. That is not at all great or distinctive way to say Burrow is a lot like Montana.
It'll be interesting to see Cook with a healthy throwing shoulder next fall, provided the rehab goes well. Neither Horn nor Garcia are anywhere close to the runner Cook is, so if Cook can sling it better next year it should be very interesting.
"..it’s fair to wonder if he’ll get some competition added to the quarterback room this spring. And I’m not necessarily saying that’s a portal guy, but the decorated Sam Horn was a summer enrollee last year, so this will be the first real side-by-side with those 2." No Connor it wont be, Cook will not be playing side by side with anyone in the Spring, he's out with shoulder surgery. Now, Horn and Garcia going at it side by side should be a real treat.
LOL, he's good but nowhere close to crazy good. SC will fine, as will Mizzou.
OTOH, spelling it like he did really has a 'down South' feel.
