Evan Herrmann has announced his decision and the Wisconsin edge rusher is headed to Vanderbilt. The No. 3 prospect from Wisconsin according to the 247Sports Composite revealed his choice on social media.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Herrmann was previously committed to Wyoming before re-opening his recruitment. Herrmann is confident that he can be a major piece to Vanderbilt elevating its level of play in the competitive SEC.

“I believe in what Coach Lea is building and want to be a part of it,” Herrmann said to 247Sports. “I can play a high level of football, and get a high level education at the same time.”

Herrmann previously expressed an affinity for the Vanderbilt area and the campus amenities.

“One thing that stood out to me about Vandy was the campus,” Herrmann said to 247Sports. “It’s in a great city, and it’s beautiful. From what I saw of the football facilities, they were also top notch. I also loved talking to coaches and staff there.”

Herrmann amassed 71 tackles, 7 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles during his senior campaign at Sussex Hamilton.
