Sean Payton is reportedly heading back to the NFL ranks as a head coach.
Payton drew interest from the Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos and others this offseason, but he has reportedly settled on a destination.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Payton will take over as the head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2023 and beyond:

Payton is still under contract with the New Orleans Saints, so a trade needs to be made so Denver can sign him. Per Schefter, the Broncos will send their 2023 first-round draft pick and their 2024 second-round pick to New Orleans in exchange for Payton and the Saints’ third-round pick in 2024:
Compensation: Denver’s 2023 first-round pick and next year’s second-round pick for Sean Payton and the Saints’ 2024 third.

Payton won a Super Bowl with the Saints in the 2009 season. He went 152-89 overall in 15 years as the Saints’ head coach.
Can he help the Broncos win a Super Bowl with Russell Wilson as his quarterback? We’ll see how the team fares starting in the 2023 campaign.
