Next year's schedule is soft. It is great for Georgia because they can get to Atlanta relatively injury free and they have the prestige of winning two straight NCs. Nobody will question if they're good despite playing no one next year. Clean living. They're going to be told they cannot lose again ever too. But that is a good problem to have.

...a lot of consternation for a guy who's absolutely not going to win the Heisman and probably doesn't care. Bennett is a good college QB, leading a good team. The fact that no defensive players ever win it lowers the award, in my view, as somehow representing "the most outstanding player." Carter should be in the mix this year, Anderson last year, etc etc

Seriously? Alabama won the national title in 2020. They played for it last year. Sure, Georgia won thar game, but Alabama blew then out in Atlanta just a year ago. Credit to UGa for another great year, but have a little perspective.
