We do better under the radar. I was hoping she'd wonder how Odom was going to turn it around.
Why limit our team? I'm from StL and if they want to play at Mizzou, let them earn their spot. St. Louis has many problems in regards to how Mizzou is viewed, rightly or wrongly, and telling kids Mizzou has to recruit them is a mistake. Build a winning program first.
We'll see. Garcia is a good get. But Drinkwitz just doesn't seem to have a plan other than throw whatever he can at a problem and hope it works. I love how people still throw Cook under the bus when it was the coach's responsibility to not be in that situation in the first place and he never called plays to Cooks strengths which should been open receiver, not open, run. Cook did not fail having been given the best there was to offer.
Australia has a program dedicated to developing punters for US colleges.
Probably one of our top 3 important re-commits. Very excited for it and the others that did as well.
Drinkwitz has been slow playing his hire since day 1. He's only now getting an OC because he's been forced to. He changed out of Wilks because he was forced to. Everyone else saw the problems, and you know what Drink did too. But he also knows the longer you drag out a problem before you address it, the longer the play is. We never got to see how good Hamdan was as an OC because we only saw 3 games roughly. And in the bowl game, it was painfully obvious Drinkwitz was calling the plays. Drink made the comment he wasn't going to hire an OC who wasn't better than him. Was there no janitor in the building that ever struck a conversation up with him?
So recruiting wouldn't take a dump. His buyout only went up by 400k and if let go, Blaze Baker is free to go too. I'm not impressed by Drink.
This is good news for the team. We're lucky to have him for one more year.
He had a great game, the whole team did, Coach Gates did. Kobe is a selfless player but knows when someone has to step up. A Great Tiger.
Unfortunately, the rebuild years were in the Big 12 and then we were just a bridge to far that early in the SEC. He showed us that it can be done. I was upset with the way 2015 was handled but it was at Mizzou. Some other schools the press would have been supportive but that was a time frame to kick Missouri. Fake hunger strikes, fake feces swastikas, Ferguson 2 years before. I don't know that there were any head coaches that would have handled it much better. He built his brand on family and that's what he stuck with. I'd rather have him have my back than most of the guys out there.
Tigurrr yearns for the yesteryears when we lost to MAC teams in our non-conference games. Yea, you average 2001-2006 and it's going to be very average. And in that "average" time frame he took us to 3 bowl games. From 1983 to 2000 were the last 3 bowl games we'd been to. We also beat Nebraska two times, the last time prior to Pinkel as HC was 1978 (I was at that game as a kid). And he trended upwards in that time frame, not patching together .500 seasons. His was a rebuild. Smith got us to mediocrity with a couple a good seasons. You're analysis is way off.
Brett McMurphy is an Okie State alum so no love lost with Mizzou there.
Hawgs should enjoy the day drinking, smoking and talking caca to Jay Hawk fans. Enjoy your bowl.
I could give two cacas about ku. This was not the bowl I wanted for Mizzou.
You, us, and Vandy. Only one of those teams look like they improved this year.
What's sad is Kentucky is as bad as we are, just a little better. You'd think Stoops wouldn't be at this point.
What's comical is that Drinkwitz knew the situation in his QB room the last two years and this is where we are at. That Drinkwitz knew we had an offensive line issue (the only side of the ball he knows) and this is where our line is at. That we have Blake Baker thru absolute $#$%ing luck not by any divining on Drinkwitz's part. Cook is our starter because of Drinkwitz and nobody else.
Mark Stoops is a solid coach. We're expecting the best out of KY and hoping for the best out of ours. It will be a good game.
While I'm out on Drinkwitz, we should win New Mexico and I think we could take Arkansas or Kentucky, one of them. Tennessee, I would love to see a win but the odds are less than the other two. It would be disappointing to not win another game or fall short.
Now that the Volunteers found Heupel, Jon Gruden is available!
I just want to congratulate any Vandy fans reading up on their team. Clark Lea is fixing the situation down there. It's massive, it's been there a long time and it's won't be fixed as quick as Vandy fans may want but watch for the improvement in the situation, the play, the recruiting, and retaining players.
I think Drink has been forced to stick with Cook. It's not a loyalty thing but a blank the bed thing by Drink as a HC. We can put the other guys out there, behind that O line, but I don't expect much different results.
We've done well with undersized guys before that aren't recognized for their athleticism. Burden, who will grow into a fine athlete, perhaps exceptional, is a true freshman and still adjusting to the game. I put him at 3 or 4 on our depth chart. Cook, unfortunately, isn't the guy. Needed to see him with pass protection (Vandy game finally allowed that) to see he's not where he needs to be. He should have been the backup, and still developing, to someone else with the skill set. I don't know that that would have made a difference with Drinkwitz calling the plays though.
If you guys are disappointed with Stoop, we could trade. We'd do that for you :) .
If you remember Georgia couldn't get it done, Tennessee was you know what show, and they were just looking to breath any life they could into the division. That's the short answer.
He doesn't know. He puts a good face on but honestly he didn't expect things to go the way they did. He figured he'd learn on the job and it would all work out. Gift of gab would get him thru the hard times. Ain't working out that way.
Given some of the bad hires he has made he may be right to continue. This is an AD and administration problem now.
Not if it prolongs the cancer within the program. I'm glad we won but we still have to deal with the issue that's our HC.
