I always liked Dan Enos. He's a smart guy and an excellent quarterback coach. If KJ stays - and hopefully, he will - there should be some major benefits to his passing game. On the flip side, the current Razorback commitments, especially at the skill positions, are a bit of a concern. Time will tell. However, the Maryland offensive statistics were impressive. Taulia Tagovailoa threw for more than 3,000 yards and the running game exceeded 1,800 yards. Not a lot of rushing yardage with the quarterbacks. It will be an interesting fit. Woo Pig.
Mixed emotions about Enos. Excellent quarterback coach and a smart dude. Little concerned about his style of play and how it will impact recruiting class.
Happy to hear of DMc's return. New DCs off to a good start.
I would hate to see Briles leave, especially given the KJ situation. If true, Barry Lunney would make for a viable OC, imo. As a former Razorback coach and quarterback, he should be able to "coach up" the position and recruit well.
Very pleased to see KB stay another year. The manner in which KJ Jefferson has developed is remarkable. Most OCs will call a few bad plays, but the body of work on Briles speaks for itself. Woo Pig.
I could have sworn that Petrino was just hired as OC at UNLV? Some things never change.
Other than a few obnoxious fans, as will be the case in every major college venue, NW Arkansas is a very nice place to live. Briles is liked by most and well paid. The money will continue to flow. Imo, he will stay until the right HC opportunity comes along.
Happy to see Arkansas AD call these yahoos out. There were a few other "calls" on the field which should have been reversed on replay.
I really hate to see Trey Knox leave. The portal will make or break teams. Hopefully, Sam and staff will figure things out. They did well last year, imo. Ebb and flow.
I really wish things could have worked out for Hornsby and the Razorbacks. Good luck to number 4, regardless of the next stop.
I've always enjoyed listening to Mike Leach and watching his teams play ball. He would typically have some wackadoo answers or views, but never seemed to take himself too seriously - and, what a fun guy to be around. Prayers, positive thoughts and energy for coach and his family.
I always liked Barry Odom and Sam leaned on him heavily, from what's written. Having said that, I think it's a good time toward a new beginning for everyone. Good luck to coach, all the same.
Odom seems like a good guy and easy to like, but my goodness, the defense had some major leaks. Even had the FG against A&M sailed true, relying on the defense to seal the deal would have been far from a given.
I believe that he made a smart decision, but God bless KJ. I love this kid and think he will benefit from another year. Otherwise, for better or worse, college football has changed. Sam and his staff will mine the portal.
If you're going to play Pittman's style of ball, strength and conditioning are key. Interesting move, if true.
Wow. An in-season, quitter? Goodbye, good luck, good riddance.
Kendal Briles is top shelf and the Razorbacks are lucky to have him. KJ has developed on Briles' watch and I suspect number 1 would be the first to the thank his coach. On a different note, Liberty beat the holy h*ll out of BYU a couple of weeks ago. Don't sleep on Hugh Freeze.
KJ Jefferson is unquestionably the quarterback and after last season, rightfully so. Malik Hornsby is a very talented kid, and as an understudy - like Jefferson with Franks - should improve over time. His day will come.
Nice read, but I am fairly certain the Razorbacks have only one open date, before Auburn. We catch BYU, in Provo, directly after the MSU game, in Starkville.
Hopefully, Chad has evolved. Otherwise, more pedal down, left lane nonsense.
Morris was an absolute disaster, but Jeff Long started the downward spiral. Bielema was an interesting hire, but to extend his contract and throw tons of money at the guy after a mediocre season was insane. I love Mike Anderson, another Long hire, but in hindsight, Mike was there too Long for too little. From where we were to where are, kudos to Hunter Yurachek.
Love the kids. No quit. The Muss bus rolls on. Woo Pig.
Sad, but touching and very well written story. Mark Richt is a class act.
Proud of the Razorbacks, as this team does not quit. Happy the Muss bus remains in Fayetteville, and hopefully, will stay there a long time. Hats off to Auburn. They will be a tough out.
Very pleased to see Malik Hornsby back with the team. As a quarterback, it's tough not getting first team reps and being thrown into a game, unexpectedly. The kid has enormous potential. His day will come.
Go Cats! Nice win for our SEC brothers and sisters.
