Upon a little extra reading, I do stand corrected on the first part (still believe NIL/Transfer is f ing up the sport). I guess the Collective not only sc r ewed the kid they sc r ewed Florida as well. This just adds an additional layer of stink to NIL as coaches and staff lose control.

I may not have read everything and thus don't have the whole story. With that said, what is truly known here? Did the kid and his family not like the terms once they really dug into them (i.e. you don't get the $13M up front)? Did someone else come in and tempt the kid to bail and blame? Did the collective really just pull the plug and sc r ew the kid? It seems like a lot of the blame is not focused on the kid and at this point I don't believe there is enough evidence to suggest that. Regardless, it looks like the overwhelming sentiment is that this NIL/Transfer portal is the beginning of the end for the best sport going.

So just how many years do you think Colorado is going to get from Deion? Pretty sure AU will be fine.

Oh, sorry I guess because I am "white" I can't comment on SlimeTime or HBCU. If I see he schedules 3-4 HBCU schools every year so that he is bringing them into the fold, I will retract my statement. Until then, it looks like he used that platform to promote himself and take the next step. Heck, it only took him a few years to do it. What he did in that time will be long forgotten as he really didn't make any foundational changes for those programs.

Deion shouldn’t really comment on hits given he never actually hit anyone in his career. At times tonight, I though Diggs was the reincarnation of Mr Whiff Tackler himself. Secondly, what happened to that whole commitment to HBCU schools he so adamantly said he was going to support. Oops, I guess that was just more BS from Slimetime.

What did they expect? Georgia is undefeated, ran the table in the SEC including the championship game, and are ranked #1. They lost, didn’t make their championship game, snuck in, and are ranked 4th. They did a good job not providing bulletin board material, but simply saying “given our ranks, we expected that and will prepare accordingly”.

I realize these days of the top guys playing are dying, which is why I like this story so much and appreciate both Bryce and Will. Way to stick it out with your brothers and demonstrating a high level of commitment and leadership.

I am assuming one of two things occurred here. 1) even with some pretty gaudy stats, he got intel that there were a slew of guys ahead of him so he may as well stick around for some more NIL money 2) he has such a lucrative NIL arrangement, he figured he might as well keep trying to improve and give the Heisman a run The thing with Bo, and I realize it was the first game, is in the Georgia game, I thought I was watching him at Auburn again. The only thing that snapped me back to reality was those obnoxious unis they wear. It truly looked like a rewind of previous games.
